Survey on Current Conditions of and Intention for Outbound Investment by Chinese Enterprises （Part Ⅱ）

Executive Summary
After two preliminary trials in 2005 and 2006, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （CCPIT） conducted the ＂Survey on Current Conditions of and Intention for Outbound Investment by Chinese Enterprises＂ from December of 2008 to February of 2009. We standardized the samples and enlarged the scale to present an in-depth landscape of the current conditions of and intention for outbound investment by Chinese enterprises as China adopts the ＂Going Global＂ strategy to encourage outbound investment, and the development of outbound investment by comparing the results of this survey and the previous two surveys.

Light industry in China,as an important part of national economy,is mainly referred to consumer goods industry. After three decades＇ rapid economic growth, China has grown into a country of abundant light industry production,supplying inexpensive and diversified light industry goods of high quality. In 2007, scaled enterprises in light industry have accomplished the output value to approximately RMB 7604.1 billion and the export value to USS270.3 billion.     

中国高技术产品贸易出口竞争力的实证分析

自1999年我国实施科技兴贸战略以来,我国高技术产品出口快速增长,已成为推动我国外贸出口的重要动力。但我国高技术产品出口仍存在不少问题,如自主创新少,本土企业高技术产品出口规模小等。针对这一现象,文章基于1991～2008年的数据,首先利用出口市场占有率、贸易竞争优势指数和显示性比较优势指数实证分析我国高技术产品出口竞争力的现状,然后基于钻石模型着重探索我国高技术产品出口竞争力的影响因素。并给出提高我国高技术产品出口竞争力的对策和建议。

浅析定位与企业品牌的建立

中国自由贸易区建设:演化历程、特点与趋势

在30年的改革开放过程中,中国先后提出了"市场多元化"、"以质取胜"、"大经贸"和"科技兴贸"等战略,在十七大报告中,中国把自由贸易区建设提高到了战略高度。文章认为目前中国自由贸易区战略具有伙伴国由周边国家向拉美、非、欧辐射,合作的领域不断拓展与深化,合作国家类型、推进模式多样化的特点。在未来的一段时期内,中国与经济规模较大的发达国家的谈判将取得突破,在兼顾中国的能源政策条件下自由贸易区的合作领域将进一步深化,最后对推进层次进行了展望。     

“十三五”期间我国组织或共同发起的国际大科学计划和大科学工程发展状况与对策

国际大科学计划/工程兼具科学属性与工程属性。组织实施该类计划或工程是一个国家的科技实力与国际竞争力的重要体现。我国曾大量参与国际大科学计划和大科学工程，不过发挥牵头和主导作用的却寥寥无几。国务院印发的《“十三五”国家科技创新规划》对组织实施国际大科学计划和大科学工程作出战略部署。本文在对“十三五”时期我国牵头组织国际大科学计划、大科学工程的成效与影响进行总体评估的基础上，分析实施过程中存在的问题与挑战，并对我国“十四五”时期如何加强国际大科学计划和工程提出政策建议，以期为提高我国的科技创新能力提供启示。

Auto China 2008 or the 10th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition heated the whole Beijing city this spring.During April 22-28,in the newly-built New China International Exhibition Center,this big auto feast opened its curtain in Shunyi,the suburbs of Beijing.In this hot week,Auto China 2008 welcomed over 680 thousand audience from home and abroad.     

议中国对外直接投资是否为资源寻求型

基于2003-2008年中国对外直接投资分国家面板数据,并采用GMM分析方法,本文对中国对外直接投资的资源寻求性进行研究。结果表明:(1)中国对外直接投资具有较强的资源寻求特质,其在发展中国家表现得更明显;(2)中国对外直接投资的资源寻求性在美洲和亚洲发展中国家表现得比较明显,在非洲不明显;(3)中国对矿产的渴求要大于对石油的渴求。以上结果是由中国国内能源消费结构以及国际上石油与矿产定价机制差异决定的。

Foreign Direct Investment and Total Factor Productivity Growth: New Macro‐Evidence

Although the role of foreign direct investment (FDI) in facilitating technology transfer is well known in the literature, empirical evidence regarding the effect of FDI on growth is mixed. The contradictory results in the literature may be due to the failure to account for endogeneity and for the abortive capacity of the hosting countries. Using panel data for 49 countries over the period 1974–2008 and the existence of Investment Promotion Agencies in the receiving countries as an instrument, our results show that increased FDI stock leads to higher productivity growth. We also find a significant positive effect on the interaction between FDI stock and distance to the technological frontier, suggesting that the ability of technologically backward countries in absorbing technologies developed at the frontiers increases as more FDI stock is accumulated.
