绩效管理是现代企业人力资源管理的核心。当前,铁路企业绩效管理工作还存在诸多问题,主要表现为:对绩效管理缺乏系统认识,绩效目标制定不够合理,考核评估环节问题较多,沟通反馈机制不尽完善,激励措施缺乏有效运用。加强和改进铁路企业绩效管理的对策是:一是要加强培训,树立科学的绩效观。二是要完善绩效管理制度,进行科学的工作分析,制定完备的绩效计划及绩效指标体系。三是要优化绩效考核工作,创新工作方式方法,加强对考核工作的过程管理。四是要健全绩效反馈机制,加强双向沟通或多向沟通,畅通员工申诉渠道。五是要创新绩效激励体系,注重团队激励,突出内部公平,实现责任与权利的协调统一。  相似文献

This paper discusses a unique approach to the acceleration of sales using two distinct yet related techniques. The first is to close communications gaps between marketing, sales and customers by implementing active two-way communications. A confluence of forces has resulted in massive changes to the collection and use of performance data in the UK health system over the past 25 years. Performance measurement offers major potential benefits for clinical professionals, managers, regulators, politicians, researchers, patients and citizens. However, uncritical reliance on performance data can lead to a number of unintended and adverse consequences. The National Health Service has pioneered the assembly and dissemination of performance data from the early 1980s. This article summarizes the history of performance measurement in the NHS, assesses its effectiveness to date, discusses the major challenges in deploying performance measures, and highlights priorities for policy-makers.  相似文献

Social media is a particular communication platform which has witnessed an exponential growth in use and influence in recent years, democratising the communication process, and offering risk communicators a way of putting into practice those principles which are advocated to be at the core of risk management and communication. However, little is known about stakeholders’ willingness to embrace this new form of communication in a food crisis. The current study presented an exploratory investigation of the opinions of Irish stakeholders on the position of risk communication in a crisis, with a particular focus on understanding what application social media may have. In-depth one-to-one interviews were carried out with key stakeholders holding frontline positions in managing and communicating about risk in the food sector in Ireland. The stakeholders identified risk communication as a central activity in a food safety crisis, driven by an obligation to protect both consumer health and the reputation of the Irish food sector. Stakeholders relied primarily on risk communication to disseminate information in a crisis so to educate and inform the public on a risk and to prevent confusion and alarmism; most did not explicitly value two-way risk communication in a crisis. The ability to effectively manage future crises may depend on stakeholders’ willingness to adapt to the changing communication landscape, namely – their willingness to adopt social media and use it effectively. The findings indicate that the stakeholders interviewed are appreciative of the need to engage with social media in times of a food safety crisis. However, most valued social media as a one-way channel to help spread a message and there was little reference to the interactive nature of this medium. Implications for integrating social media into crisis risk communication strategies are discussed.  相似文献

This review starts from the lines of enquiry suggested by Otley et al. [Otley, D.T., Broadbent, J.M., Berry, A.J., 1995. Research in management control: an overview of its development. British Journal of Management 6, S31–S34] and develops these themes in the light of more recently published research. Hence this review is structured around the following emerging themes; Decision making for Strategic Control; Performance Management for Strategic Control; Control Models for Performance Management and Measurement; Management Control and New Forms of Organisation; Control and Risk; Culture and Control; and Practice and Theory.Whilst research has been evident in all of these areas, relatively little attention has been paid to information and communication technologies and its impact upon control system design and capability, nor did we find much literature on control and gender, or on control and sustainability. Further there has been relatively little research on control and risk or upon control and culture. The limitations of overarching frameworks are noted and we conclude that it seems essential to place more emphasis on research which attends to the relationship of control practices and theory which will require more embedded and collaborative research processes.  相似文献

The paper assesses the communication strategies of the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, and the European Central Bank and their effectiveness. We find that the effectiveness of communication is not independent from the decision-making process. The paper shows that the Federal Reserve has been pursuing a highly individualistic communication strategy amid a collegial approach to decision making, while the Bank of England is using a collegial communication strategy and highly individualistic decision making. The European Central Bank (ECB) has chosen a collegial approach both in its communication and in its decision making. Assessing these strategies, we find that predictability of policy decisions and the responsiveness of financial markets to communication are equally good for the Federal Reserve and the ECB. This suggests that there may not be a single best approach to designing a central bank communication strategy.  相似文献

Teaching effectiveness of non-native English-speaking teachers (NNEST) in accounting, economics and finance has become a significant issue due to the increasing trend of hiring NNEST in business schools. However, the literature has focused on the English language competence of NNEST, which is only one element of the factors that influence teaching effectiveness. This study examines students’ perceptions of teaching effectiveness of NNEST in business disciplines in an Australian university to understand relevant NNEST issues of teaching from a cross-cultural communication perspective. Data were gathered via focus groups and student evaluation of teacher performance surveys. The thematic content analysis of the data indicated that students acknowledge that NNEST are knowledgeable and hardworking teachers; however, issues of intercultural communication apprehension hinder their teaching effectiveness. Besides, ethnocentric world views of students tend to adversely influence the teaching evaluation of NNEST. This study concludes that NNEST’s issues are broader than mere linguistic competence, which suggests that business schools should focus on enhancing cultural understanding and minimising intercultural communication apprehension of NNEST in efforts aimed at enhancing NNEST’s teaching effectiveness.  相似文献

Performance evaluation of individuals, processes and activities in management accounting involves mostly a clinical judgment on whether or not to investigate a variance between actual performance and standard performance. Two judgment-related issues are examined in relation to the lack of validity of performance evaluation, namely: a) the difficulty in the determination of the base rate advocated by the normative accounting control models, and b) the evidence on the judgment fallibility and its effect on performance evaluation.  相似文献
