今年国际市场展望

去年前10个月对外贸易快速发展的基本情况及主要特点对外贸易保持高速增长,与投资、内需相比,出口拉动国民经济增长贡献更大据海关统计,去年前10个月,我国对外贸易进出口额达3871.33亿美元,比前年同期增长35.1%;其中出口2051.14亿美元;同比增长32.2%;进口1820.19亿美元,同比增长38.6%;累计贸易顺差230.95亿美元。国家外汇储备由前年底的1547亿美元,增加到10月底的1650亿美元左右。外汇储备增长速度的放缓,有利于减少外汇储备过多增加大量占用人民币本币的问题,特别是国内启动内需,各方面十分需要人民币资金的时候,储备不再过快增长,也有利于缓解中央银行基础货币投入的压力。据国家统计局测算,出口拉动国民经济增长的贡献远远大于投资和内需的拉动,在国民经济增长8%的水平中,出口拉动了2.9%。

Globalisation and Norwegian shipping policy, 1850–2000

The shipping industry has been called ‘the first globalised industry’. In this paper we analyse how domestic regulations have shaped the adaptations of ship owners in Norway, one of the leading providers of international shipping services for more than 150 years. The paper deals with the interaction between the international and domestic aspects of the shipping industry, with particular emphasis on demand (the market for shipping services), labour and capital. In particular, we discuss the relationship between international developments and the Norwegian regulatory regime.

The CCAPM meets Euro-interest rate persistence, 1960-2000

Euro-interest rates are well-known to be persistent, as are their differentials across countries for a given maturity. The international CCAPM implies that the rates are persistent because forecasts of national consumption growth or inflation are persistent too. We examine this prediction for a panel of countries. The standard CCAPM with power utility is augmented to allow for external habit, government consumption, and adaptive learning. In all cases, we find little evidence that the persistence in Euro-rates is consistent with the CCAPM.
