Beijing Hutong Tour

Recently, a group of tourists from Cologne, Germany,traveled thousands of miles to Beijing for its Hutong (lanes and alleys) Tour. With curiousity, reporters from China Tourism accompanied the German visitors on the tour.The drizzle seemed to be a welcome ceremony for these tourists. They were surprised to see a line of black pedicabs with red canopies at the back door of Beihai Park. In the hutongs, the ringing bells of the pedicabs could be heard everywhere.

2005年6月下旬至7月下旬,美国加州大学柏克莱分校的纳尔逊·格拉本(Nelson H.Graburn)教授和厦门大学彭兆荣教授在北京出席学者俱乐部性质的"国际旅游研究院双年会"(2005 Biennial Conference of International Academy for the Study of Tourism)后,赴四川、贵州和广西进行了为期20天的调研.借此机会,彭兆荣对格拉本教授进行了专访,内容涉及到中国旅游发展的可持续性,少数民族地区的旅游发展特点及潜在的危机,农业旅游与生态旅游的发展空间,旅游人类学研究中的"真实性",传统民族志在旅游研究中的范式问题等.

本文以近十年来发表在《Annals of Tourism Research》上的研究文献为样本，分析了近年来国外旅游学研究的主要研究脉络和研究进展情况。同时，重点分析了其研究热点和新的研究视角，并且指出了其研究的薄弱环节。文章最后指出了国外旅游学研究进展对于国内旅游学研究的启示。

近10年文化旅游研究进展--《Tourism Management》、 《Annals of Tourism Research》和《旅游学刊》研究评述

论文通过对国外《Tourism Management》、《Annals of Tourism Research》及国内《旅游学刊》3大期刊近10年来发表的有关文化旅游的82篇文献进行研究方法的分类和分析讨论，从概念与综述、文化旅游地景观厦其形象研究、文化旅游者厦市场研究、文化旅游赍源厦开发研究、文化旅游环境与保护研究、文化旅游管理研究、文化旅游理论与方法研究7个方面对文化旅游研究内容进行了综述，井对近年朱国内外文化旅游研究的重点问题和未来研究方向进行了分析。

Located in the beautiful Xinghai Square, Dalian Modern Museum was set up in the last July, and it is the first museum entitled “modern” throughout China. It is a condensation of the local history, a vivid encyclopedia. Construction style of the building embodies blending of the Asia and the Europe. Inside. the centennial history and development of Dalian City are well exhibited. Glass and white steel in geometrical shapes are used in large scales, hi-tech lighting system is also adopted just as the word “modern” indicates, it is a modern way of a museum showcase about the modern history

Well, Pingyao would leave you gobsmacked. The wall ringing the city is impressive enough. The gray brick fortification must rise at least 20 meters above the valley floo and the North Gate another 20 above that. Flags ripple a rainbow of colour over the battlements. Clearly visible from the road into Pingyao, I’d have stumbled into this place even without the benefit of friendly advice. And that advice still did not prepare me for what I found inside the walls.     

旅游制度环境与国内旅游消费:制度嵌入性视角

旅游卫星账户(Tourism Satellite Accounts,TSA)将旅游业界定为一系列为旅游者提供或多或少依赖旅游业的商品和服务,旅游业的规模由消费者(旅游者)的消费所决定(Frechtling,1999,2010;Smeral,2006)。旅游者可以自主决定其出游行为和消费行为,同时也要受到嵌入其中的制度环境的约束。“制度嵌入性”是指消费者选择行为的制度约束(N ee和Ingram,1998;王宁,2008)。以国内旅游消费为例,意指旅游消费行为嵌入我国的旅游制度中。王宁将“制度嵌入性”视作消费社会学的一个研究纲领,有效解释了“消费自主性”忽略的“消费脆弱性”话题。     

Riding a Panda Bus to the Creat wall

The Panda bus is one of the series of products CITS has recently promoted for overseas tourists to China. The bus is so named not because it looks like the panda bump er cars we see in amusement parks, but becuase it bears eye-catching panda symbols. CITS, a renowned travel agency, discovered that there has been a sharp increase of FITs to China in recent years and that manyof them preferred traveling independently,instead of joining organized teams. But independent traveling is more expensive and adds the difficulty of finding an interpreter.

为深入理解中外旅游研究的异同，文章对2000年以来《Annals of Tourism Research》和《旅游学刊》发表的论文进行了比较分析。研究表明中外旅游研究在研究内容、研究方法以及研究思路等方面存在着明显差异。前者侧重于旅游影响、旅游人类学、旅游社会学与生态旅游等方面的研究，而后者涉猎面更广泛，如对旅游经济与管理、旅游资源开发与规划等偏实用领域的关注；此外，前者研究方法以数理统计为多，后者多以描述性的论述为主。研究通过对近期两大中外权威杂志的对比分析，以期对国内旅游研究，以及对《旅游学刊》的未来发展有所裨益。
