高等院校女职工生活质量现状分析——以云南财经大学为例

本文通过高校女职工问卷调查和访谈,深入了解高校女职工的生活质量。将对其各方面的生活状况进行分析,了解存在的主要问题,提出对策与建议,并对症下药,提出有效、可行的解决女职工生活质量问题的办法。以此为高等院校关爱女职工,为提高女职工生活质量提供一定的参考。     

浅谈做好新时期女职工工作

Female Presence on Corporate Boards: A Multi-Country Study of Environmental Context

A growing body of ethics research investigates gender diversity and governance on corporate boards, at individual and firm levels, in single country studies. In this study, we explore the environmental context of female representation on corporate boards of directors, using data from 43 countries. We suggest that women’s representation on corporate boards may be shaped by the larger environment, including the social, political and economic structures of individual countries. We use logit regression to conduct our analysis. Our results indicate that countries with higher representation of women on boards are more likely to have women in senior management and more equal ratios of male to female pay. However, we find that countries with a longer tradition of women’s political representation are less likely to have high levels of female board representation.     

Female Managers' Ethical Decision-Making: A Multidimensional Approach

The increasing number and influence of women in society brings up several issues related to values and ethics. Looking at business ethics from the gender perspective made us ponder if it would be fruitful to analyse the feminine and masculine dimensions of decision-making style. The article follows the research tradition using the multidimensional ethics scale, and it aims at developing the scale to better include female decision-making. We came to the conclusion that, as the multidimensional ethics scale used in measuring managers' moral decision-making is derived from modern ethical theories focusing on indications of masculinities more than femininities, the scale leaves feminine decision-making dimensions invisible. Our argument is that in seeking a deeper understanding of (female) managers' moral decision-making, we must find a broader basis for the analysis and develop the scale further so that it allows different voices to be heard and different dimensions to be seen.     

南京女性旅游消费实证研究

在旅游业迅猛发展的今天,女性旅游消费成为一个值得研究的领域。本文以问卷调查和访问调查的方式,实证研究了南京女性旅游消费的现状、特征,并在此基础上提出了相应的南京女性旅游消费市场的开发策略。这对于深化城市女性旅游消费研究以及城市女性旅游消费市场的开拓均不无参考价值。

以<左传>文本材料为出发点,对其中的女性形象进行分类,可分为"善"的形象、"恶"的形象和另类形象三类,并从<左传>文本中遴选若干典型加以分析.同时,从时代背景入手挖掘人物性格形成的深层原因并探讨作者对人物的不同态度.     

Female Institutional Directors on Boards and Firm Value

In this paper, we examine the relationship between the environmental practices and implied cost of equity. Using a comprehensive sample of 23,301 firm–year observations from 43 countries, we find that an improvement in environmental practices leads to reduction of the implied cost of equity. Further, the results are stronger in countries where country-level governance is weak. Our results indicate that most of the benefits come from the reduction of emission and unnecessary wastage of resources. Our results remain robust to alternative specifications and endogeneity concerns.

女性CEO会雇佣更多的女性下属吗？ ——基于中国家族上市公司的经验数据

学界对于女性上级是否更愿意雇佣女性下属的问题一直存在争议。基于中国家族上市公司2008-2016年的经验数据，实证检验了CEO的性别身份对高管团队中女性下属雇佣的影响以及CEO的家族身份在二者关系中的调节作用，研究发现家族企业女性CEO雇佣的女性下属比男性CEO少；进一步地，女性CEO对具有同样家族身份的女性下属的雇佣是最低的，即家族女性CEO雇佣的家族女性下属在所有CEO中是最少的；同样地，非家族女性CEO雇佣的非家族女性下属在所有CEO中也是最少的。研究拓展了象征主义理论在家族企业女性高管雇佣上的适用情境与条件机制，丰富了性别与家族企业领域的研究成果。     

Female self-employment and children

Several analyses report a positive correlation between fertility and female self-employment; however, scholars disagree about the direction of this relationship. Knowing about the causal relationship is important because the relevant mechanisms and possible implications differ tremendously. This paper studies two competing hypotheses: Is self-employment more attractive to women because they have children? Or, is it occupation-specific characteristics of self-employed women that impact their fertility? This work applies a unique approach by utilizing exogenous variation in both children and self-employment.     

Health and Female Self-Employment

This study uses data from the Mature Women's Cohort of the National Longitudinal Survey of Labor Market Experience (NLSLME). The sample (n = 1,412) comprises self-employed, wage-earning, and nonemployed women whose cumulative employment is measured by employment status between 1976 and 1995 and whose health status was measured in 1976 and in 1995. Three multivariate regression models, one for each type of employment status, are used to control for sociodemographic and for other factors thought to influence health status in 1995, including health status in 1976. The study finds that unemployment resulted in a significantly negative health status in 1995 compared to women of similar age, while the effect of working for wages results in significantly positive health relative to women of similar age. Self-employment had no statistically significant effect on health status in 1995, thus indicating that the health of the self-employed, while better than that of the nonemployed, substantially was worse than that of wage earners.
