松嫩盆地水资源可持续开发利用的问题与对策

水资源是影响21世纪中国社会经济持续发展的重要因素。对于松嫩盆地来说,水资源能否可持续开发与利用,直接关系到松嫩盆地的根本经济建设和国土自然环境的稳定。依据可持续发展的思想,分析了影响松嫩盆地水资源可持续开发利用的突出问题,并提出了相应的对策和措施。     

汉魏六朝荆州稻作农业的发展

荆州位于长江中游，这里是稻作农业的发源地，自新石器时代以至秦汉，稻作生产传统一直未曾中断。进入魏晋南北朝后，荆州自然环境与人口的变化皆有利于稻作生产的发展，加之荆州政治军事地位的特殊性，统治者对农业生产的着意经营。使得荆州的稻作生产较之前代有了一定的发展。这主要表现在稻作种植区域的扩大、耕作技术的提高以及产量的增加等方面。荆州稻米总产量的增加，使得荆州不仅有余粮可支援外地，并有部分剩余稻米进入了流通领域．成为长江下游城市粮食供应体系中的重要一环．

Measuring market power in the French Comte cheese market

A new empirical industrial organisation approach is used tomeasure seller market power in the French Comté cheesemarket, characterised by government-approved supply control.The estimation is performed on quarterly data at the wholesalestage over the period 1985–2005. Three different elasticityshifters are included in the demand specification, and the supplyequation accounts for the existence of the European dairy quotapolicy. The market power estimate is small and statisticallyinsignificant. Monopoly is clearly rejected. Results appearto be robust to the choice of functional form and suggest littleeffect of the supply control scheme on consumer prices.     

Does a better diet reduce dependence on imports? The case of Tunisia

In the last 40 years, Tunisia has experienced—as many other developing and emerging countries—a dietary transition, which led to an increase in the consumption of sugar, fats, and animal products. This transition was accompanied by an increase in noncommunicable diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases. Using mathematical programming, we optimized the Tunisian diet using the French dietary recommendations as constraints. Then, we used the Global Trade Analysis Project's constant elasticities of substitution in order to simulate the impact of fulfilling the nutrient recommendations on international trade and domestic supply. Using this approach, we showed that the Tunisian diet is rich in carbohydrates and sugar but lacks fibers, some minerals, and vitamins. The adherence to all recommendations would induce an imperative shift to less sugar and cereal-based products by reducing the import dependence on these products, but would result a dramatic increase in the domestic supply of products from animal origin, fruits, vegetables, and legumes.     

Effects of decoupling on the mean and variability of output

The influence of inputs on output risk in the context of agriculturalproduction decisions taken by non-risk neutral agents has beenignored by previous research assessing the effects of decoupledincome support payments in a deterministic world or risk-neutralframework. We study the impacts of decoupled payments on inputuse and on output mean and variance. Our theoretical frameworkfor studying agricultural producers' responses to lump sum paymentsallows for both output and price uncertainty and economic agents'risk attitudes. Results show the importance, in a non-risk neutralscenario, of considering the influence that economic agentshave on the stochastic component of output through input use.Our empirical application uses Kansas farm-level data to illustratethe model.
