我国金融支持科技创新的效率评价——基于超效率DEA与Malmquist指数方法

本文基于超效率DEA模型,分析了我国30个省、自治区和直辖市2006—2012年的金融投入和科技产出数据,对其效率均值进行排名;并通过Malmquist指数分析方法对我国科技金融的全要素生产率及技术效率、技术进步、纯技术效率和规模效率指数的变化趋势以及区域差异进行实证分析。研究表明:我国金融支持科技创新的效率呈现U形走势,主要是依靠东部地区带动,而西部地区效率值差异明显;2006—2012年全要素科技金融效率呈现上升趋势,上升了2.6%,引起效率提升的主要原因是技术进步;通过区域分析发现,三大区域的效率均呈现上升趋势,中西部地区的效率增长高于东部地区,技术效率的变化是导致区域差异的主要原因。     

中国区域技术效率的差异及其原因探究

将技术要素作为内生变量纳入随机前沿模型,对2003~2011年中国不同区域的技术效率水平进行测度,并重点分析造成区域技术效率差异的原因。结果显示:整体来看,我国平均技术效率水平稳步上升;从区域角度来看,东部地区平均技术效率水平最高,高出中部地区约3.04%,高出西部地区约7.87%,且三大地区之间的技术效率差异呈现收敛趋势;科技投入、高科技产业规模、人口素质、经济外向度和地方保护是当前导致区域技术效率差异的关键因素。     

基于DEA-Malmquist方法的信托公司效率分析

本文选取我国54家信托公司,运用DEA和基于DEA的Malmquist生产率指数,对我国信托业2010~2013年的技术效率和全要素生产率进行测度分析。研究结果表明,四年间我国信托公司技术效率均值为0.776,技术效率呈稳步上升趋势;信托业全要素生产率均值为1.073,全要素生产率的提高来源于技术效率变化和技术进步的共同影响,但对大部分公司来说,技术效率进步的影响要大于技术进步,是生产率变化的主要原因。     

基于Malmquist-Tobit模型的京津冀区域金融效率及影响因素分析

本文通过BCC模型和Malmquist指数,从静态和动态两个方面研究2015年以来京津冀13城市金融效率的区域差异及其空间演变趋势,然后引入Tobit回归模型进一步分析影响区域金融效率的因素。结果表明,北京的静态金融效率达到前沿面水平,河北各城市金融效率较低且主要是规模效率不足导致;从动态全要素生产率看,北京全要素生产率平均提高了10%,技术进步起主要作用,天津和河北分别提高了14.4%和13.4%,技术效率的作用更大。影响区域金融效率的因素中,政府干预对效率的提升起到显著作用,而经济开放度对金融效率的影响较小;各因素影响全要素生产率的作用途径主要是技术进步。     

基于DEA-Malmquist法的中国区域金融服务实体经济效率测度

本文利用DEA模型和Malmquist指数法对我国31个省市2008—2017年金融服务实体经济效率进行动态分析,并对2012年和2017年的测算结果进行比较静态分析。分析发现,我国区域金融服务实体经济效率不高,2012年和2017年都处于前沿面有效率的省份只有5个,26个省市处于无效率状态。2008—2017年各省市金融服务实体经济的全要素生产率变化差异较大,东部明显高于西部,中部波动较大。研究发现,技术进步是导致各省市全要素生产率变化的主要原因,而纯技术效率变化和规模效率变化影响较弱,同时外部危机和内部政策冲击明显。     

黄金上市公司经营效率的动态评价

黄金上市公司的经营效率水平是衡量我国黄金产业综合竞争实力的最重要标准。文章采用Malmquist指数方法,依据我国黄金上市公司2007-2012年的面板财务数据,从动态角度对我国黄金产业的效率水平及演化趋势进行了分析与评价。研究表明：2007-2012年,我国黄金上市公司的平均全要素生产率呈现年均5％的衰退趋势;技术进步效率是制约我国黄金上市公司全要素生产率提高的主要因素;考察期内,综合技术效率、纯技术效率和规模效率均未发生明显的增减变动。     

文化传媒上市公司全要素生产率的Globe Malmquist 研究

采用Global Malmquist指数研究我国26家文化传媒上市公司2006~2012年全要素生产率,结果表明:从总体上来说,文化传媒上市公司的全要素生产率(GM)、技术效率(EC)、技术进步指数(BPC)均呈现上下波动趋势。从平均水平来看,全要素生产率呈U型变动,而技术效率(EC)指数和技术进步(BPC)指数的平均水平变动不太稳定,说明我国文化产业的竞争力没有形成核心力,内生增长的方式需进行转型。     

基于DEA-Malmquist模型的河北省金融资源配置效率研究

借助DEA模型和Malmquist指数分别从静态和动态角度对河北省各地市2010-2018年金融资源效率配置情况的研究发现:河北省各地市间金融资源配置效率存在明显差异,且各地市金融资源配置相对无效的原因不同;河北省各地市金融资源配置效率在2010-2018年间呈现上升趋势,但各地市间金融资源配置效率上升速度差异较大,其中,技术进步对金融资源配置效率的提升起到了明显的推动作用。     

我国信托业经营效率实证研究:2007-2010

通过对我国信托业49家信托公司2007~2010年经营效率的分析、研究发现,我国信托业各年度的技术效率普遍较低,4年均值仅为0.585,这主要是由纯技术效率和规模效率不高导致的;运用Malmquist指数对全要素生产率的分析表明,近年来我国信托业全要素生产率呈逐年上升趋势,年均增长率达9.9%;从其构成看,全要素生产率的增长主要源于技术效率的变化,技术进步变化值虽然逐年有所增长,但是整体出现技术退步。     

长江经济带绿色金融效率测评研究

本文运用BCC-DEA模型,以2010-2019年长江经济带11个省(市)绿色金融为研究对象,从综合效率、纯技术效率和规模效率对绿色金融投入产出效率进行静态分析。运用Malmquist指数模型从技术效率、技术进步、纯技术效率、规模效率、全要素生产变化指数等多个角度动态分析了绿色金融效率的问题。研究结果表明,长江经济带各个区域相互之间发展绿色金融的情况存在失衡现象,下游比中上游地区发展好,中上游地区表现存在一定的滞后性以及未来还有较大的发展和改善空间。从整体来看,经济发展与绿色发展政策促进绿色金融发展,技术进步是全要素生产率提高的主要引擎。应加大区域合作、加强技术创新、完善绿色金融体系,促进长江经济带绿色金融效率的提升。

Science and fiction: the good and the bad

When Neil Armstrong stepped out onto the Moon, they said science had at last caught up with fiction. The event had long been foretold in the Promethean genre of science fiction. Indeed, NASA had paid tribute to the prophetic powers of this literature when it gave the name of Columbia to the space module of the Apollo 11 mission in memory of the Columbiad of Jules Verne's space story. As I.F. Clarke shows in this survey, science and fiction have always had the future in common. From the earliest days of the first industrial revolution the innumerable possibilities of a technological society have found their appropriate images in the many future worlds of science fiction. Thirty years before they started work on the Manhattan Project, H.G. Wells invented the term atomic bomb and described the first atomic war in The World Set Free.     

Housing and the Macroeconomy: Inflation and the Financial Accelerator

Three themes connecting housing and the macroeconomy are discussed. First, evidence is presented for the property market as one of the drivers of U.S. consumer price inflation. Second, key drivers of house prices are explained to account for the remarkable diversity of international experience. Finally, three potential links between housing, credit, and the financial accelerator are discussed. These are the consumption channel, the investment channel, and feedback between bad loans and risk‐spreads via the financial system—and how institutional differences between countries can explain the presence, absence and magnitudes of these linkages.     

Oppression and resistance: the powerless and the future

Relations between rich and poor (across and within countries) appeared in some questions in Images; there were clear differences between what the powerful and the powerless hoped and expected from the future. This is compared with what actually happened and a deeper analysis is made of ‘power’ as an organizing concept. It turned out that the pessimism associated with powerlessness tended to make better predictions.

Economic growth and the stability and efficiency of the financial sector

It has been claimed that the ability of emerging markets to adopt optimal stabilization policies is hampered by a number of factors. Among them, it has been recently emphasized the role of financial instability, inefficiencies, and financial market imperfections. It is claimed here that the current financial regulatory paradigm, embodied in Basel II, may improve financial stability but reinforces cyclicality. Therefore, countries should emphasize financial efficiency since it would lead to enhanced financial stability, without increasing cyclicality.

Gold and the Dollar (and the Euro, Pound, and Yen)

Usually, gold and the Dollar are negatively related; when the Dollar price of gold increases, the Dollar depreciates against other currencies. This is intuitively puzzling because it seems to suggest that gold prices are associated with appreciation in other currencies. Why should the Dollar be different? We show here that there is actually no puzzle. The price of gold can be associated with currency depreciation in every country. The Dollar price of gold can be related to Dollar depreciation and the Euro (Pound, Yen) price of gold can be related to Euro (Pound, Yen) depreciation. Indeed, this is usually the case empirically.
