本文通过对大量英文和中文文献的检索和分析,以几个重要的主题作为阐述的基本框架。比较全面地分析了中国本土学者、外国学者以及旅居国外的中国学者对中国旅游问题的研究成果和基本观点,并对旅游研究过程中所呈现的基本趋势进行了讨论。通过这个分析,使国内同行得以一窥中国旅游问题在世界旅游论坛上被关注的程度,以及了解中国旅游研究与国外旅游研究的差别。本文提供的大量英文文献,也是相关研究领域的重要学术线索。 相似文献

自从马里奥蒂首次从经济学角度对旅游现象作了系统的剖析和论证迄今已近百年,学术界对旅游本质的认识,依然呈现“诸家学说,百花齐放”的局面,严重影响了旅游学科的建构和旅游教育的发展。本文通过理性分析和比较分析两种途径来理解旅游的本质,并由此认为旅游研究应采纳从心理学视角进去,从地理学、社会学和经济学等其他学科的视角出来。整个研究的切入点应该是旅游体验。也就是说,旅游研究应该以体验作为基本视角。最后,本文以此为根基,构筑了旅游学科的基本框架。 相似文献

This paper contributes to a better understanding the self-catering accommodation sector by considering its nature and scope within Scotland, the UK and the international context. It reviews the available literature search and also presents an exhaustive search of the Internet. The term “self catering accommodation” typically refers to cottages and holiday flats, but also may include larger premises as well as mobile units such as boats. Student accommodation comes into this category, as do serviced apartments for business use. Self-catered accommodation is widely used for activity holidays, and courses for outward-bound or country pursuits. The sector is considered in terms of economic impact, ownership, and mode of use, and an analysis of the market shows that it has grown and changed rapidly since the 1980s driven by changes in the economy and advances in technology. During the same period demand has increased due to demographic, economic and lifestyle changes, the predominant segments being older and middle-aged customers and young couples without children. The growth of short break holidays and a growing interest in country pursuits and activity holidays favour the self-catering sector. 相似文献

In 1998, a total of 18 existing service apartments have been identified in Shanghai, with about a third being luxurious service apartments. The majority of the service apartments were built within the last two years. A luxurious service apartment provides hotel‐like facilities, coupled with a home‐away‐from‐home atmosphere for long‐stay guests. Typically, comprised of one or more, bedrooms, a kitchen equipped with all conceivable household appliances and many other conveniences, guests also enjoy housekeeping and laundry service packages. Shanghai, with a population of over 15 million, has made great progress in its modernization efforts, and is fast catching up to become a financial center of Asia. The foreign investors, expatriate personnel and their families constitute the potential demand for luxurious service apartment as a major type of lodging facilities in Shanghai. This paper presents a research study to identify the marketing strategies of luxurious service apartments in Shanghai. To uncover the characteristics of their operations and their clients, two surveys are conducted, one on the existing service apartments and the other on their users. 相似文献

ABSTRACTOne of the many distinct problems encountered in tracking the exploits of historical figures such as folk heroes – especially in their guise as tourist icons – is engagement, not only with the principal routes and trails taken by them, but also with the minor pathways and the many small-scale rural settlements, meeting grounds, base camps, and replenishment stopovers which serviced their lifestyle. An aggregation of these trails and servicing points would contribute significantly to determining, firstly, the regional operational areas of such folk heroes (including highwaymen, outlaws, social bandits, and bushrangers) and secondly, a potential pattern for history-linked and heritage-based regional tourism. It is likely that in responding to the meanderings of the folk hero, the spatial pattern would conform more to the idea of a ‘themescape’ than to other linear-like configurations, and the outcome could be envisaged and interpreted as a ‘trailscape’. Using as a case study the story of the Australian folk hero Edward (Ned) Kelly, this paper experiments with ‘ways of looking at the evidence’ and of interpreting and engaging with the ‘trailscape’ which is a hallmark of the overlapping spheres and clusters of the hero’s activities. 相似文献

The relatively recent social movement known as the “sharing economy” is becoming increasingly visible in online peer-to-peer platforms. One such platform is Airbnb; an accommodation marketplace which provides access to tourist accommodation. These platforms are having an important social and economic impact on tourist destinations such as Málaga, Spain. This paper presents a spatial econometric hedonic model that explains the pricing strategy of Airbnb tourist apartments in Málaga using factors such as host, guest, structural characteristics, and location. In relation to locational factors, the model in this study confirms the impact of spatial spillover effects, accessibility to certain amenities, traffic noise, walkability, and the ethnicity of residents in the neighborhood where the listing is located. 相似文献

Desert Australia is a vast, largely unpopulated area serviced by few roads. In recent years, tourism has been identified as an industry that has some potential to generate employment and investment opportunities in the region. Because of the distances involved and the largely unsealed road network that radiates off the main north-south highway much of the region is inaccessible to conventional vehicles. As a consequence, interest in four-wheel-drive (4WD) tourism has grown and a number of desert regions have identified this group as a potential market that could be further developed. One of the experiences that is associated with parts of desert Australia is its heritage values, both natural and built. This paper explores the role of heritage as a motivation to travel to desert Australia by four-wheel-drivers and the subsequent proportion of visitor expenditure that can be attributed to heritage tourism consumption. It concludes that while heritage is just one of many components of a 4WD trip, there may be substantial potential for increasing its economic contribution. 相似文献

This paper explores the performance determinants of Airbnb listings, analyzing three research questions. First, the study investigates the different effects generated by the antecedents on price and revenue; second, it ranks different groups of variables; third, it distinguishes between private rooms and entire homes or apartments. These research questions are addressed by analyzing Airbnb listings in Milan, a business city where the sharing economy is growing fast. In particular, the study will use the monthly data of all Airbnb listings in Milan recorded by AirDNA during the period from November 2014 to June 2019, which consists of 323,184 total observations. Some hedonic price models are calculated, adding the Shapley value approach. Empirical findings show some important differences between price and revenue determinants. Furthermore, listing type and size, along with location and seasonality, are by far the most important factors that explain performance differentials among Airbnb properties. 相似文献

Timeshare has gained recognition and acceptance in many Asian countries in recent years, but is relatively slow in gaining momentum in Singapore. Timesharing is a type of real estate ownership, which may include hotels, resorts, holiday villas, apartments and more, whereby ownership is split among individuals on the basis of time. This paper presents a study on the attitude of potential consumers on timeshare, and to investigate the current satisfaction level of timeshare owners in Singapore. Two questionnaires were designed to survey the attitude of potential consumers and the timeshare owners. The findings showed that potential consumers’ perception of timeshare is generally negative in Singapore. The main reasons for this negative perception include undesirable sales tactics used in the industry and negative media coverage which tainted the image of the industry. Developers should provide facilities at the resorts to help timeshare owners achieve their desire for rest and relaxation, amongst other reasons. 相似文献

The objective of this study was to understand the actual self-concept and the concept of second homes as well as the behaviour of second home owners who do not let their properties. Low utilisation of these homes and apartments by the owners has led to heavy economic and social costs. So far, academic research has strongly focused on (1) quantity and quality of second homes (rented and non-rented), (2) on distribution systems and intermediaries as well as (3) on holiday home customers. However, research on the owners themselves has been scarce and sketchy. Using a self administrated questionnaire for the collection of the data and the following discriminant analysis, lifestyle patterns were discovered. Results from 1045 non-renters in the Alpenarena area of Switzerland, indicate that the level of letting of second homes depends on when the second home was purchased and on the owner's age. Owners’ self-concepts and concepts of their second homes also varied with age. The findings are used to suggest strategies and incentives to encourage owners to let second homes. 相似文献

Participation on tourism of the population of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) has enormously increased. Domestic tourism, however, stagnates. The German tourist regions have to expect a significant decrease in visitors, since an increasing segment of the German holiday-makers (now two thirds) travels abroad. The German domestic tourism providers and vacation travel organizers have not yet fully realized the new trends in the travel behavior. The unfavorable trend can only be met through a continually increasing supply with vacation homes and apartments. Moreover, the various resort towns need to join regional tourism associations which are able to achieve a more effective regional marketing for smaller tourist regions. Preparations for the establishment of regional tourism associations and programs for a subsidization of regional marketing plans are imminent. 相似文献
