Imposing user fees in Nature-Based Tourism (NBT) contexts has been a controversial issue. Based on the notions of justice and fairness, this study extended previous work examining the relationship between attitudes toward user fees and spending support. In a proposed structural model of price fairness, fee spending support, and willingness to pay (WTP), this paper identified the antecedents of WTP user fees, and empirically examined to what extent the data fit the model. Furthermore, the moderating role of place attachment in the model was investigated by using multiple-group structural equation modeling. Subjects (n = 562) were recreational tourists to a forest area in the southeast U.S. Results revealed that spending support partially played a mediating role in the relationship between perceived price fairness and WTP user fees. A multiple-group invariance test also demonstrated that while the degree of place identity moderated the effect of price fairness on spending support, the degree of place dependence did not influence the relationships among the antecedents of WTP. 相似文献

Inclusive innovation, which we define as innovation that benefits the disenfranchised, is a process as well as a performance outcome. Consideration of inclusive innovation points to inequalities that may arise in the development and commercialization of innovations, and also acknowledges the inequalities that may occur as a result of value creation and capture. We outline opportunities for the development of theory and empirical research around this construct in the fields of entrepreneurship, strategy, and marketing. We aim for a synthesis in views of inclusive innovation and call for future research that deals directly with value creation and the distributional consequences of innovation. 相似文献

To avoid the response set phenomenon, in handbooks it is suggested to compose item batteries of both positively and negatively formulated items. However, while doing a factor analysis, researchers usually neglect the effect this may have on the fit of the factor solution. In that case, the fit between a plausibly interpretable factor solution and the observed correlations may prove to be very unsatisfactory. In our opinion, however when both positively and negatively formulated items are used, it seems unrealistic to base the factor analysis on the content of the items only; also the difference in phrasing may influence the intercorrelations of the items. We consider a problem motivated by a central purchasing organization for a major office products distributor. This purchasing
organization must source a quantity of a particular resale item from a set of capacitated suppliers. In our case each supplier
offers an incremental quantity discount purchase price structure. The purchaser’s objective is to obtain a quantity of a required
item at minimum cost. The resulting problem is one of allocating order quantities among an approved supply base and involves
minimizing the sum of separable piecewise linear concave cost functions. We develop a branch and bound algorithm that arrives
at an optimal solution by generating linear knapsack subproblems with feasible solutions to the original problem.

Technology forcing is a strategy where a regulator specifies a standard that cannot be met with existing technology, or at least not at an acceptable cost. Using the 1970 U.S. Clean Air Act for controlling automobile emissions as a baseline example, we demonstrate the importance of the regulatory implementation process if regulations are to foster technological change. The 1970 legislation required steep emissions reductions for new 1975 and 1976 automobiles, which presented automakers with major technical and economic challenges. Nevertheless, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency successfully forced the adoption of two marquee control technologies—the catalytic converter in 1975 and the three-way catalyst in 1981. We focus on three factors critical to the implementation process: agency credibility to enforce standards, competitive pressures to drive industry research and development, and uncertainty about technological development. 相似文献
