Mature consumers’ patronage motives and the importance of attributes regarding HMR based on the food-related lifestyles of the upper middle class

The objectives of this study are to explore the food-related lifestyle segments of the mature market, to identify its socio-demographic characteristics, and to investigate the differences in their attitudes toward Home Meal Replacement (HMR). A survey was conducted of adults 55 years of age and older living in Seoul, South Korea. Out of the 600 distributed questionnaires, 361 were retained for final analysis, which is a response rate of 60%. Cluster analysis identified five consumer segments. Significant differences were found among the five segments in terms of socio-demographic characteristics and attitudes toward HMR. This study shows operators of HMR the patronage motives and attributes that each segment values when considering HMR.

随着网络技术的发展和成熟,在这一广阔而自由的空间领域中,政府的管理和控制则显得苍白乏力,基于此种认识和社会现状,本文指出政府在网络管控的政策法规方面存在的主要问题,以及政府在治理方面应加强和完善的措施。     

Dominant markets,staggered openings,and price discovery

This study examines information incorporation and price discovery in closely related markets that witness staggered openings. A theoretical model is presented. In this framework, one market, termed dominant, is the venue where most of the price discovery occurs, and the other is termed secondary. The model predicts heightened volatility and order flow in each market when it opens first compared with when it opens second. The effects are predicted to be more pronounced in the dominant market, and is linked to the process of information incorporation. Tests conducted using futures on crude oil (dominant) and gasoline (secondary), two related markets that witness staggered openings, reveal findings consistent with the model's predictions. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 多边贸易谈判是多方参与、多阶段性竞争与合作的博弈过程。在多边贸易谈判中,发展中国家成员由于存在较大的实力差距而处于不利地位。本文首先阐释了多边贸易谈判的本质,总结了发展中国家成员参与多边贸易谈判的博弈历程,剖析其在世界经济贸易中地位的变迁,并提出其参与多边贸易谈判的博弈策略。     

Pricing Practices of Resellers in the Airline Industry: Posted Price vs. Name‐Your‐Own‐Price Models

I find that when a reseller with market power serves an airline company and only linear contracts are feasible, the airline prefers that the reseller utilizes the Name‐Your‐Own‐Price (NYOP) (a la Priceline) instead of the Posted Price (PP) (a la Hotwire) model. Essentially, the airline can better extract the surplus of the reseller if power over pricing is in the hands of numerous consumers, each bidding according to her preferences, instead of being concentrated in the hands of the reseller. Introducing two part tariff contracts or competition among resellers eliminates the distinction between the two pricing models. Either form of pricing generates the same outcome as vertical integration of the airline with the downstream market of resellers.

Chinese textile industry is a traditional sector boasting of competitive strength in global market. It＇s such a common phenomena that Chinese tourists are very difficult in finding a piece of clothes without a ＂Made-in-China＂ label in overseas supermarkets and malls. Even at the first World Expo, it was 12 silk produced in Huzhou, China, that caused a great sensation and won the Gold Expo in 1851, for the white and flexible silk was able to load 700 copper wires. And don＇t need to mention the Silk Road, originated from China.     

浅析我国个人所得税自行纳税申报中存在的制度问题及对策

文章根据三年来我国个人所得税自行申报的实施情况,分析了我国个人所得税自行申报制度自身存在的税制模式不协调、＂一刀切＂、细节不明确等瑕疵,以及与自行申报相关的配套制度薄弱问题,并从完善申报制度、健全配套机制方面针对性地提出了解决问题的思路和对策。     

Austerity,Growth and Inflation: Remarks on the Eurozone's Unresolved Competitiveness Problem

While the financial protection measures enacted by the ECB and the community of Eurozone members have calmed financial markets, they have left the competitiveness problem of the Eurozone's southern countries and France unresolved. The paper compares price inflation before the crisis with the necessary and actual price cuts that have taken place since the outbreak of the crisis, predicting a decade of stagnation for the south and inflation for the north. Keynesian demand policy is counterproductive in the south and unnecessary in the north. The necessary realignment of relative goods prices and current account imbalances can be achieved if market forces are allowed to redirect capital flows to the north instead of being artificially steered to uses they are keen to avoid.
