Strategic behavior in non-atomic games

In order to remedy the possible loss of strategic interaction in non-atomic games with a societal choice, this study proposes a refinement of Nash equilibrium, strategic equilibrium. Given a non-atomic game, its perturbed game is one in which every player believes that he alone has a small, but positive, impact on the societal choice; and a distribution is a strategic equilibrium if it is a limit point of a sequence of Nash equilibrium distributions of games in which each player’s belief about his impact on the societal choice goes to zero. After proving the existence of strategic equilibria, we show that all of them must be Nash. We also show that all regular equilibria of smooth non-atomic games are strategic. Moreover, it is displayed that in many economic applications, the set of strategic equilibria coincides with that of Nash equilibria of large finite games.     

Hierarchies of beliefs and the belief-invariant Bayesian solution

The belief-invariant Bayesian solution is a notion of correlated equilibrium in games with incomplete information proposed by Forges (1993), and hierarchy of beliefs over conditional beliefs is introduced by Ely and Peski (2006) in their study of interim independent rationalizability. We study the connection between the two concepts. We partially characterize the correlations embedded among type spaces with the same set of hierarchies of beliefs over conditional beliefs with partially correlating devices, which send correlated signals to players in a way that preserves each player’s belief about others’ types. Since the belief-invariant Bayesian solution is also implemented by such correlating devices, we then establish that it is invariant on equivalent type space.

采用文献资料法和理论分析法,归纳总结了北京奥运会后我国群众体育发展面临的问题,并提出发展策略,以为我国社会主义和谐社会的构建和群众体育的可持续性发展提供科学的理论依据。     

谁赢得了全运会:经济资源与奖牌数量

受Bernard&Russe(2004)的启发,基于第一至第十届全运会数据的分析,发现决定各省市奖牌数量的主要因素是经济总体规模和上一届全运会的表现。人口总数对奖牌数量有显著正的影响,但一般不超过3%;北方人口可能比南方人口在竞技体育上更具优势;东道主能带来超过5%的金牌份额和奖牌份额的增量;直辖市和城镇化水平有助于竞技体育水平的提升。改革开放后,影响竞技体育水平的因素更符合体育运动的规律。     

基于价值网的食品冷链物流企业参与北京奥运战略研究——以A公司为例

在简要介绍奥运餐饮运作方式以及奥运食品冷链物流特点之后,以A公司为例研究食品冷链物流企业参与奥运的战略。在分析过程中以竞合理论中的价值网模型为工具,提出了奥运背景下A公司的发展战略。     

Continuous-time games of timing

We address the question of existence of equilibrium in general timing games with complete information. Under weak assumptions, any two-player timing game has a Markov subgame perfect -equilibrium, for each >0. This result is tight. For some classes of games (symmetric games, games with cumulative payoffs), stronger existence results are established.     

Residents' Perception of the 2008 Beijing Olympics: Comparison of Pre‐ and Post‐Impacts

The purpose of this study is to explore any significant differences in residents' perception of the impacts before and after the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The findings of this study revealed that residents' perception of the positive impacts (community investment and improvement of city infrastructure) varied over two points in time, while two negative factors (inflation and tax increase) demonstrated little perceptual change. Residents had high expectations of the benefits that the Olympics would bring to the community, yet those expectations were not met. In fact, the problems caused by the Olympics were neither greater nor lesser than they expected. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
