闽商精神的社会学视角解读

改革开放以来,随着社会主义市场经济的蓬勃发展和人们经商意识的加深,逐渐兴起了具有地域特色的商人和新商帮思想,在闽商身上体现的闽商精神就是其中的典型代表。从社会变迁的角度来看,当今闽商的为公为私问题是＂差序结构＂下自我主义理论的一种表现,发扬闽商精神建设海峡西岸经济区还应该从提升闽商精神的道德规范出发。     

A comparison of the executive leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev and Ronald Reagan

Abstract

This article estimates firm mark-ups to evaluate market competition in Korean manufacturing industries for the period of 1982–2004 and analyzes how the mark-ups differ across industry sectors. For the manufacturing sector as a whole, our results lead us to reject the null hypothesis of a competitive market, although market imperfection varies across industry sectors. Meanwhile, the parameter for union bargaining power over firm profit was much smaller than those found in the previous studies and insignificant in some industry sectors. Our firm-level results indicate that intra-industry variation in mark-ups and returns to scale is greater than inter-industry variation as shown in the sector analysis. Also, we find that mark-ups respond counter-cyclically to aggregate demand shocks and that the magnitudes of responses differ from industry to industry.

Market Orientation and Firm Performance: An Empirical Analysis of Ghanaian Microenterprises

ABSTRACT

While previous researchers have explored the relationship between market orientation and firm performance in larger organizations, such studies in microenterprises are scarce. This empirical study uses a structural equation model to examine the role of market orientation on firm performance of microenterprises operating in Ghana. To measure market orientation, we used a well-known scale (MARKOR), and the data (N = 347) for this study were collected from Ghanaian microenterprises using personal interviews. Study results indicated that the MARKOR scale provided a good measure of market orientation in Ghanaian microenterprises. The conceptualized model provided a good fit to the relationship between market orientation and the performance of Ghanaian microenterprises, indicating that market orientation as measured by MARKOR had a statistically significant positive impact on performance. However, the explanatory power of the model was relatively low, indicating the potential impact of other factors that were not incorporated in the model. Study implications are discussed.     

网络游戏行业企业规模与现金持有量关系研究——来自中国网络游戏上市公司的经验证据

本文重点研究单一网络游戏行业内企业规模与现金持有量的关系，通过中国网络游戏上市公司的抽样统计、各因素间相关系数的计量，实证检验得出如下结论：在单一的网络游戏行业内企业规模与现金持有量显著正相关。     

The effectiveness of international diversification: whole markets versus sectors

A hedging approach is used to examine the effect of sectoral factors on the effectiveness of international diversification. By using data covering seven countries and various sectors, we find that international diversification is more effective when assets from developed markets only are used and when multiasset portfolios are used instead two-asset portfolios. The results also reveal that international diversification across whole markets is more effective than diversification across sectors. These results reflect the pattern of return correlation.

项目的成本控制是贯穿在工程建设自招投标阶段直到竣工验收的全过程,企业为社会提供质量高、工期短、造价低的产品,必须通过成本管理的各种手段,遵循成本最低化、目标管理、责权利相结合及全面性的原则,通过制定投标责任人制度、建立责任成本中心和监督机制、组织科学施工等,以期达到提高企业经济效益的目的。     

Repeated measures and longitudinal data analysis using higher‐order entropies

This paper implements the generalized maximum entropy (GME) method in longitudinal data setup to investigate the regression para meters and correlation among the repeated measurements. We derive the GME system using Shannon classical entropy as well as some higher‐order entropies assuming an autoregressive correlation structure. This method is illustrated using two simulated examples to study the effect of changing the support range and compare the performance of the GME approach with the classical estimation methods.     

Archipelago's move towards exchange status: An analysis of Archipelago trading in NYSE and NASDAQ stocks

Archipelago began reporting trades and quotes to the Pacific Stock Exchange in 2002 for NYSE-listed securities and in 2003 for NASDAQ-listed securities. These events mark the time that Archipelago began migrating stocks from its ECN platform to the exchange platform, thereby becoming a stand-alone exchange. We examine the impact of becoming a stand-alone exchange on execution quality and market share of Archipelago to gain insight into its ability to compete for order flow in NYSE and NASDAQ stocks. We find that the change has a positive effect on Archipelago's execution quality for NYSE stocks, while it has a negative effect for NASDAQ stocks. A possible explanation is that Archipelago lost the large pool of liquidity that SuperMontage provided when it became a stand-alone exchange, and that loss may offset any gain associated with having exchange status. Overall, exchange status helped Archipelago slowly make headway in the NYSE-listed securities arena.
