测绘项目应注意安全生产

随着国家经济建设的快速发展,测绘作为各建设项目的基础工作越发重要,因为从业门槛较低和从业人员队伍庞大,所以测绘安全生产显得尤为重要,如何进行安全生产管理,值得每个从业人员深思。

Tourism competitiveness index of the Asia-Pacific region through consistency analysis

The world’s economy shifts to a more competitive environment as globalization expands and countries have to adjust by making decisions to improve their competitiveness in all sectors. The Travel and Tourism Report, a useful tool facilitating policy-making and business decisions, allows entities to envision their ranking in the face of the travel and tourism through the creation of a competitiveness index. Focusing on Asia and the Pacific, this paper intends to investigate internal consistency of the constructs based on data analysis techniques such as correlation and reliability, essentials to broader acceptance of the index. The results indicate that high linear association between index and pillars leads ultimately to good level of consistency and highlight the lack of relationship between overall consistency and inter-class consistency. It is suggested to pay close attention to unidimensionality of constructs and inter-relation between variables while building an indicator system as it increases its reliability.

Stochastic optimization for investment in facilities in emergency prevention

A coordinated approach is developed to integrate three preventive measures (i.e. building reinforcement, reinforcement of road networks, and facility location of relief supplies), with the objectives of minimizing budgets and risk-induced penalties. The Conditional Value-at-Risk is employed as a decision-making tool to evaluate diverse decisions of prevention based on the degree of risk aversion. Based on a real-world case of an earthquake, a series of scenarios were designed, and the applicability of the proposed model was studied. The coordinated approach for investing preventive measures is cost-efficient in helping reduce the impact of disaster on society.     

Small is beautiful: Implications of reliability and statistical power for testing the efficacy of HR interventions

The development of optimal human resource practices is often contingent on the accurate statistical testing of potential interventions. Testing the efficacy of HR interventions can be enhanced by taking additional measures to improve statistical power, but the traditional means of increasing power through sample size are often beyond the cost and ability of HR professionals to pursue. This article, therefore, focuses on measurement procedures as an alternative way to increase statistical power for detecting HR intervention effects. Selection of reliable and appropriate measures and subsequent instrumentation are examined as efficacious and cost‐beneficial techniques that can be employed during the planning and designing stage of a study for augmenting statistical power to optimize business decision making. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.     

平安城市监控系统建设中的组网问题

我国平安城市监控系统建设日趋普及,但在建设过程中存在财政投入不足而出现分区建设、分区管理的现象。这使得平安城市监控缺乏统一的管理,给城市安全防范工作带来不便。文章根据不同行业的应用需求及特点,提出监控系统整体解决方法,包括对需求的分析、功能实现的方法等。     

有优先权的混贮备可修系统的模糊可靠性分析

研究了有优先权的3个不周型部件和1个修理设备组成的混贮备可修系统,利用普通可靠性和模糊可靠性的基础理论,在转换开关完全可靠的情形下建立了系统模糊可靠性模型,利用模糊数学的原理和方法、马尔可夫型可修系统的研究方法和Maplel 1．0软件,得到了该系统的一些模糊可靠性指标,并给出算例。

通过对近年来林西县农村饮水安全工程建设现状及管理情况的例举、总结与分析,提出农村饮水安全问题在规划、施工及管理等各个环节中存在的优点与问题,并结合实际情况提出了一些建议,以期为林西县整个地区的稳定、健康发展提供理论参考。
