In many countries around the world, support for local agriculture has been a burgeoning issue involving the development of the local foods movement as an alternative marketing. This study investigated ethnic and geographic differences with respect to the consumers' perceptions of local foods in Indonesia. Semistructured interviews were conducted to examine consumers' views of local foods. “Location,” “quality,” and “price” were found to be the most salient characteristics of local foods. The idea of village was associated with the meaning of “local.” Although the respondents' levels of awareness of local foods were high, further education and dissemination of the national policy on local foods was urgently needed. 相似文献

Precedence-type tests based on order statistics are simple and efficient nonparametric tests that are very useful in the context
of life-testing, and they have been studied quite extensively in the literature; see Balakrishnan and Ng (Precedence-type
tests and applications. Wiley, Hoboken, 2006). In this paper, we consider precedence-type tests based on record values and
develop specifically record precedence test, record maximal precedence test and record-rank-sum test. We derive their exact
null distributions and tabulate some critical values. Then, under the general Lehmann alternative, we derive the exact power
functions of these tests and discuss their power under the location-shift alternative. We also establish that the record precedence
test is the uniformly most powerful test for testing against the one-parameter family of Lehmann alternatives. Finally, we
discuss the situation when we have insufficient number of records to apply the record precedence test and then make some concluding

Despite the rising prominence of economic education scholarship, little work has been done to document how economic education scholarship is faring in the academic world. Unlike prior research in this genre, this study assesses the relative impacts of economic education scholarship by examining published research in (strictly) economic education journals. In order to do so, we use the Harzing database of citations to articles published in (strictly) economic education journals from 1990 to the present. Supporting some of the measures found in prior research, we find that the Journal of Economic Education (JEE) is unambiguously the dominant source of influential scholarship in the field of economic education. Interestingly, the JEE's closest competitors among active economic education journals are the International Review of Economics Education and Computers in Higher Education Economics Research, both of which are published under the auspices of the Economics Network, which is located in the UK. Following these two journals in our ranking is the Journal of Economics and Finance Education, a relatively new journal launch. 相似文献

Abstract Formats for product redistribution are emerging and evolving, creating alternative channel options for consumers' disposition of unwanted possessions. These retail formats operate in both informal (e.g., garage sales) and formal (online auctions) economies. As consumers participate in redistribution channels, some retailers are confronted with new competition and the potential for declining sales. This article expands on both recycling and disposition literature by examining consumer disposition behavior and the flow of used products through various redistribution channels. For business and environmental reasons, increased understanding of green consumer behavior is essential. This paper addresses consumer adoption and non‐adoption of a high involvement eco‐innovation (the alternative fuel vehicle, AFV). The purpose is to integrate two research streams to explore factors driving and hindering adoption. The factors are rooted in environmental psychology research and the diffusion of innovation literature. Survey results on Swedish car owners are reported. The results indicate that adopters and non‐adopters differ on norms, attitudes, novelty seeking and on how innovation attributes are perceived. Furthermore, the results show that the groups rank car attributes such as fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions differently. The main contribution of the paper is the integration of norms and attitudes together with consumer adoption factors in analyzing green consumer behavior in relation to a high involvement product. Consumer activism as a means to advance an anti-capitalist agenda is filled with contradictions and contingencies. Most research to date examines the structures and representations involved with various consumer activist efforts, particularly those related to alternative trade such as the fair trade movement. This study problematises the subjectivity of the consumer activist who engages in alternative trade. Research on neoliberal subjectivity, and specifically the Foucauldian subjectivity of homo economicus, are drawn upon in addition to the work of Ulrich Beck and others addressing risks and uncertainty in late modernity. Findings from open-ended questionnaire responses are analysed for emergent themes. The analyses indicate consumer activists are influenced in part by a homo economicus subjectivity rather than a collectively oriented subjectivity. Findings also suggest consumer activists, operating as homo economicus, act self-reflexively to environmental risks stemming from late modernity and, in the process, commodify social relationships in an effort to manage various risks. Theoretical implications arising from the recognition that the anti-capitalist activism of consumer activists are being advanced by individuals motivated in part by a homo economicus subjectivity are discussed and suggestions for future research provided. 相似文献
