An appraisal of the CORINE land cover database in airport catchment area analysis using a GIS approach

This paper presents a free available dataset, the CORINE land cover that helps dealing with the biases caused by pre-defined and heterogeneous census district boundaries in airport catchment area analysis in Europe. Using this dataset and a conventional GIS software it is possible to measure the size of the population within catchment areas at the same spatial level for all EU airports, allowing for consistent comparisons among airports. To illustrate the potential of the CORINE/GIS approach, the size of the population in the catchment areas of all European airports was determined. The empirical exercise has an aggregate perspective, but this database presents many other possibilities of analysis to perform in a case-by-case basis.     

Recreation and Tourism in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty: Key Influences on the Policymaking Process

This paper reports on a study completed in 2000 into the policymaking process for recreation and tourism in AONBs across England and Wales, with particular focus on the key influencing role of communication within this process. A number of practical measures, which might aid AONB communication and collaboration for policy development and implementation in the future, are derived from the research. In addition, the findings of the study lend weight to calls (current at the time of the research) for enhanced powers and funding for AONBs, particularly in respect of recreation and tourism provision.

东北地区土壤活性有机碳对水热梯度变化的反映S152.4+2S153.6

基于样区20年气象资料统计结果和2006年土壤有机碳实测值,分析了东北样区内土壤活性有机碳各组分的空间分布格局及其与年均温(t)、降雨量(p)、有效积温和p/t(降雨量/年均温)之间的关系。结果表明:样区内土壤活性有机碳各组分沿纬度呈现出南低北高的分布趋势;活性有机碳各组分与土壤有机之间具有显著的正相关性;活性有机碳组分之间具有较强的相关性;活性有机碳各组分与气候因素之间存在良好的相关性。活性有机碳各组分与年均温之间的相关性大于活性有机碳各组分与降雨量之间的相关性。

自由贸易区战略助推人民币区域化——基于CAFTA的实证研究

2008年全球金融危机的爆发使得以中国为代表的新兴经济体开始寻求本币国际化的进程。自由贸易区战略和人民币区域化之间有何关联?本文根据人民币的事实境外流通状况和发展趋势,选定CAFTA作为人民币区域化的辐射范围,分析人民币区域化的贸易总量和结构条件后认为:(一)人民币区域化的贸易总量条件已经具备,在贸易结构条件上则喜忧参半;(二)人民币区域化必须具备相应的贸易结算基础,否则人民币区域化将无法得到实体经济的有力支持;(三)自由贸易区内区域性贸易逆差在推动人民币区域化进程中有一定作用。最后提出运用自贸区战略的巧实力助推人民币区域化的政策建议。

论文以外向型经济作为切入口,在分析南贵昆区域特点及农业产业化发展现状的基础上,研究以外向型经济带动南贵昆区域农业产业化发展的使命和战略模式:以沿海港口、外资以及国际市场为联结,组建区域农业产业化肌体、构建农业产业化发展的区域经济网络和协作战略模式。     

OCA Issue in East Asia under the Pressure of Chinese RMB Appreciation

As the rumor that RMB will appreciate in the near future, most Asian currencies had appreciated according to this matter since the appreciation of Chinese RMB will strengthen the exports of those Asian counties, thus appreciate the currencies of those countries. An OCA matter here comes again to the Asian countries. As we all know, Euro has been formally used among European areas since 1999, and this is the fir.st time that the optimum currency system was adopted in the international history. Asia, as another area that has most development potentiality in the world, should it adopt the monetary integration process as well？ In this paper the necessary conditions to form an OCA are analyzed; European experience are conjured with the own feature of East Asia areas; possibilities of forming the OCA in East Asia are concluded as well as the resistances; besides the potential process of forming an OCA is suggested.     

乡村旅游区域合作发展模式研究——以环洪泽湖地区为例

目前国内乡村旅游业的发展尽管速度较快,农业观光园、农家乐、采摘节等乡村旅游形式在各地大量涌现,但是与发达国家相比仍处于起步阶段,各旅游目的地之间缺乏统一规划、资源特色不明显、配套服务设施缺乏、经营模式单一等问题突出。区域旅游合作对整合资源、统筹城乡发展、丰富区域旅游类型、满足都市居民对乡村旅游的需求,提升其综合发展水平是一条可行的途径。本文基于对乡村旅游发展现状的研究,提出了包括空间发展、运营模式、产品开发、策划营销及支持系统在内的区域旅游合作发展模式,以期对乡村旅游的发展有所裨益。     

Social networks,rule of law and economic growth in China: The elusive pursuit of the right combination of private and public ordering

Social networks have always been an integral part of every society. However, they are different and play a more prominent role in Asian societies. In particular, it will be argued that the relationship of private ordering, networks of relationships, and informal law to formal law are necessary in addition to rule of law for a sustained economic growth. This is evident in how various Asian countries escaped the financial crisis that crippled the region. Rather than an analysis of several different Asian societies, China will be the main focus.
