Marketing to firms in developing asian countries

The Newly Industrialized and Developing Asian countries represent a substantial and growing market for capital goods and for industrial components. Industrial buyer behavior among firms in these countries is different from that exhibited by firms in the advanced, industrialized countries. Therefore, different marketing strategies are required to penetrate NIC and LDC markets. This article discusses industrial buyer behavior in the NICs and LDCs and makes recommendations for marketing strategies.     

Key problems facing industrial distributors

This article reports on a survey of the problems faced by industrial distributors. Five major problem categories are identified and managerial implications are derived from the findings.

Optimal safety stock levels of subassemblies and manufacturing components

In order to control the time to market and manufacturing costs, companies produce and purchase many parts and components before receiving customer orders. Consequently, demand forecasting is a critical decision process. Using modular product design and super bills of materials are two effective strategies for developing a reliable demand forecasting process. They reduce the probability of stockouts in diversified production contexts. Furthermore, managing and controlling safety stocks for pre-assembled modules provide an effective solution to the problem of minimizing the effects of forecast errors. This paper develops, evaluates, and applies innovative cost-based analytical models so that the optimal safety stock of modular subassemblies and components in assembly to order and manufacturing to order systems, respectively, can be rapidly quantified. The implementation of the proposed models in two industrial case applications demonstrates that they significantly reduce the safety stock inventory levels and the global logistical cost.

绿色资源整合能力、漂绿行为与企业绩效——恶性竞争的调节中介作用

本文以漂绿行为为中介变量,恶性竞争为调节变量,构建了绿色资源整合能力对企业绩效影响的概念模型。通过实证研究发现：绿色资源整合能力对漂绿行为有负向影响;漂绿行为在绿色资源整合能力和企业绩效间有部分中介作用;恶性竞争正向调节漂绿行为在绿色资源整合能力和企业绩效关系中的中介作用。     

绿色经济问题研究新进展

顺应新发展理念的提出,2016 年学者们对绿色经济相关问题进行了广泛而深入的研究,主要在环境效率、环境规制绩效和绿色发展三方面取得了卓有成效的进展。一是从环境效率评估方法、环境效率状况和区域差异等方面对环境效率进行了评估,并拓展研究了环境效率的影响因素;二是从评估环境政策、税收、排污权分配、碳交易等环境规制绩效入手,理论和实证分析了环境规制的影响因素和绩效改进方向;三是探讨了绿色发展的可能性,提出了优化产业结构、加强地区联防联控、推出碳交易政策、优化城市结构和规划、促进共享经济发展和优化环境管理手段等绿色发展的路径选择。     

Hen housing system information effects on U.S. egg demand

The U.S. egg industry has been moving rapidly towards “cage-free” aviary housing as an alternative to conventional cages for hens. A choice experiment was used to evaluate the U.S. public’s willingness to pay (WTP) for egg attributes including housing system, color, size, and certifying agency. A significant difference in WTP for hen housing systems was found using video information treatments describing hen housing systems. When respondents were shown videos of egg production systems, they were indifferent between cage-free aviary and the alternative enriched colony hen housing system whereas with no video information the respondents clearly preferred the cage-free system. Results point towards potential public misunderstanding of the costs and benefits associated with the “cage-free” egg label designation and highlight potential discrepancies between industry commitments and informed consumer preferences.

本文探讨顾客对绿色产品的感知价值维度。以绿色化妆品为例，提出顾客感知价值包括功能价值、情感价值、社会价值、绿色价值和感知付出五个维度的假设。通过设计测量绿色产品顾客感知价值的量表．并通过问卷调查的方式收集数据。对数据进行探索性和验证性因子分析．验证了顾客对绿色产品的感知价值因子中存在包括绿色价值维度在内的五个维度的假设；最后．对研究结果的理论和实际意义进行了总结，并指出未来的研究方向。
