Post‐Retirement Financial Strategies: Forecasts and Valuation

This paper uses a discrete‐time, discrete‐state Monte Carlo simulation model to evaluate representative strategies for investing and spending a fixed sum designed to fund consumption during the period after retirement. Two assets are considered – one providing a riskless real return, the other a market portfolio of bonds and stocks. A stochastic process for the returns from the market portfolio is proposed. Then a set of Arrow‐Debreu state prices is obtained on the assumption that the market portfolio is an efficient investment strategy. The model is used to forecast ranges of consumption and ranges of the ratios of year‐to‐year consumption, and also to estimate the values of components of future consumption.     

Criteria selection and multi-objective optimization of aircraft landing problem

Inspired by the similarities of the aircraft landing problem (ALP) and the single machine scheduling problem, we propose a criteria selection method that has been used successfully in the single machine scheduling problem to determine appropriate objective functions of ALP. First, for four different types of criteria—min-max, min-sum, completion time related, and due-dates related criteria—their corresponding physical meanings in ALP are elaborated. Then, a criteria selection method is proposed to determine several appropriate criteria, which are taken as the multi-objective while modeling ALP. Different solution algorithms, including Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA), are adopted to solve the multi-objective ALP. Finally, the performance of the proposed model and method are evaluated using a set of benchmark instances. The computational results demonstrate the efficiency of our approach for solving ALP, which can simultaneously improve punctual performance, enhance runway utilization, reduce air traffic controller workload, and maintain equity among airlines.

体育教学环境的调控与优化探析

体育教学环境是体育教学活动中的一个重要因素,也是现代体育教学理论研究中的重要内容。通过文献资料和调查法,对环境、教学环境、体育教学环境的概念、构成要素等基本问题作了探讨。在此基础上,提出了调控优化体育教学环境的策略,为提高体育教学效果提供了一定的参考。     

Teaching Business Strategy for an Emerging Economy

Abstract

An Internet-based simulation about a business in an emerging economy is presented and described as a crucial ingredient for a business strategy course dealing with emerging economies. The development of the course took place in three separate classes where experiments were conducted regarding the key ingredients necessary for a course designed to teach Business Strategies for an Emerging Economy. The simulation, when coupled with today's dominant strategy paradigm, the Resource Based View, appears to yield a course design that attracts students while emphasizing the actual substance which is crucial in such a course.

运用协同学的基本原理,提出了基于复合信息熵权的多式联运型物流网络协同度模型。最后,实证分析了某一多式联运型物流企业的物流网络2000-2009年之间协同状况,为制定多式联运型物流企业协调发展的对策和提高其物流网络协同程度提供可靠的科学依据。

最佳滴灌面积由农作物灌水定额、毛管出水流量及相关控制加压设备的重量综合考虑对比计算确定。现有灌溉方式中最高效节水的灌溉方式是滴灌,随着国家现代农业的推广,滴灌在农业灌溉中所占份额越来越大。     

TRUE UPPER BOUNDS FOR BERMUDAN PRODUCTS VIA NON-NESTED MONTE CARLO

We present a generic non-nested Monte Carlo procedure for computing true upper bounds for Bermudan products, given an approximation of the Snell envelope. The pleonastic "true" stresses that, by construction, the estimator is biased above the Snell envelope. The key idea is a regression estimator for the Doob martingale part of the approximative Snell envelope, which preserves the martingale property. The so constructed martingale can be employed for computing tight dual upper bounds without nested simulation. In general, this martingale can also be used as a control variate for simulation of conditional expectations. In this context, we develop a variance reduced version of the nested primal-dual estimator. Numerical experiments indicate the efficiency of the proposed algorithms.

针对我院学生学习高等数学时产生的困惑,运用培养兴趣与学习高等数学的关系去探究学生学习高等数学的有效方法及驱动力。本文通过优化课堂教学的情绪、注重高等数学教与学的兴趣、加强教材内容的情感处理、发挥高等数学的实用功效法四种方法,去探索一些能激发学生学习高等数学兴趣的方法,以期提升高等数学的课堂教学效果。
