Self-enforcing international environmental agreements with a stock pollutant

In this paper the stability of an International Environmental Agreement (IEA) among N identical countries that emit a pollutant are studied using a two-stage game. In the first stage each country decides noncooperatively whether or not to join an IEA, and in the second stage signatories jointly against nonsignatories determine their emissions in a dynamic setting defined in continuous time. A numerical simulation shows that a bilateral coalition is the unique self-enforcing IEA independently of the gains coming from cooperation and the kind of strategies played by the agents (open-loop or feedback strategies). We have also studied the effects of a minimum participation clause finding that for this case a self-enforcing IEA just consists of the number of countries established in the clause.JEL Classification: C73, D62, Q28 Corresponding author : Santiago J. 中国制造业区域聚集及国际比较

本文利用Ellison and Glaeser(1997)衡量行业区域聚集和共同聚集的指标体系,考察中国制造业的区域聚集程度在1998至2003年间的发展趋势,并进行了国际比较。我们发现中国的行业区域聚集程度仍处在一个上升阶段。我们还注意到,无论就行业区域聚集程度还是行业区域共同聚集程度而言,中国目前仍低于西方发达国家近期的水平。     

通货膨胀国际间传导对我国影响的实证检验

本文运用时间序列分析方法,实证检验了欧盟和美国的价格冲击向我国传导的总体效应.实证结果表明,各国物价存在明显的协整关系,脉冲响应分析和方差分解的结论进一步刻画了外国通胀冲击的特征.协整变结构检验证实了近年来通货膨胀国际传导效应显著增强.本文还利用格兰杰因果检验,考察了通货膨胀的各条跨国传导路径,研究发现,消费品和原材料价格传导路径非常通畅,而通过国际储备影响货币供应量的传导渠道,以及总供给-总需求传导渠道不能得到实证支持.     

Pure joint production and international trade: a note

This paper applies the principles of the neo-Ricardian (or Sraffian)theory of international trade to certain joint production systems.It is shown that, in contrast with single-product systems, (i)there is not always a pattern of international specialisation,which would entail the increase of the real wage rate in botheconomies, and (ii) the ‘law of comparative advantage’has no general validity. Furthermore, not only the existenceof such a pattern of specialisation but also the validity ofthis law depend on the values of the variables of distributionof income. The analysis is wholly based on two of the numericalexamples formulated by Bidard in 1997, and further generalisedin an elementary way only when this is considered necessary.     

Organising international supplier relations: An exploratory study of Western purchasing in China

This paper analyses Western purchasing in China in order to investigate the motives for sourcing, the specific requirements of the area and, in particular, the base and features of supplier relationships. It reports recent experiences of seven companies based in Finland, including two global companies, two units with foreign ownership and three Finnish SMEs. Prevalent in Chinese sourcing are long-term supplier relations, but no partnership relations have been established. The companies build their supplier relations gradually and they all emphasise a long-term viewpoint to Chinese sourcing. Commitment of the Chinese partner is a key challenge, overcoming of which would help companies to avoid and solve, e.g. quality problems. The study shows that, for the Western supply personnel, key competences and tools for bridging the psychic distance are social skills and interest in the Chinese culture.     

国际证券市场联动程度的实证分析

20世纪80年代以来,通过国际证券投资分散风险已经形成一种可行手段,然而,随着全球经济一体化趋势的强化,国际证券市场也正在经历着一体化趋势,证券市场联动关系越来越明显,这必然会使国际投资多样化空间变小,进而会侵蚀掉国际多样化投资收益.有鉴于此,本文使用协相关参数分析、平稳性检验、多元协整检验、协整向量参数零配载限制检验、基于VECM的Granger因果性检验等计量技术测度国际证券市场联动程度,为国际证券投资提供量化参考.     

环境成本内部化及其对国际贸易的影响

当前,许多国家加强了对环境的管制,加快了环境成本内部化的进程。本文阐述了环境成本内部化的涵义,对其效应做了理论分析,并分别论述了其对国际贸易理论和实践两个方面的影响。     

论我国会计国际化的模式选择

随着经济全球化浪潮的掀起,作为商业语言的会计同样面临着国际化的抉择。本文针对目前我国会计国际化的不同观点,在对我国会计准则与国际财务报告准则之间差异进行比较、分析的基础上,以会计信息使用者及其需求为出发点,提出了我国会计国际化的模式选择。     

环境保护的国际合作：以SARS为例

SARS危机反映了当前环境问题日渐国际化的趋势,其根源是资源紧缺和经济全球化之间的矛盾。面对这一问题,各国应通力合作、寻求对策,实现环境保护的国际合作。但环境责任在各国间的分配问题阻碍了国际环境合作的进展。本文指出,基于环境和国力的全球合作机制可合理分配各国的代际责任和代内责任,有利于促进环境保护的国际合作,是一种可行的环境保护国际合作模式。要实现这一目标,首先要各国在代际和代内责任的问题上达成共识,二是要增加国际机构、国际公约对合作各方的约束力。
