建设喀什经济特区对新疆对外贸易带来挑战及应对措施

2010年5月中央新疆工作座谈会议决定设立喀什经济特区。本文分析设立喀什经济特区给新疆对外贸易带来的挑战,并提出发挥喀什经济特区在推动新疆对外贸易发展中作用的对策和建议。

本文对EAP项目进行研究,探索出EAP项目的中国式发展道路。文章主要分为三部分,第一部分是对EAP项目进行简单的介绍,第二部分EAP项目在中国发展的遇到的问题以及解决方案。第三部分主要介绍对EAP在中国发展趋势的研究。     

中国农产品加工业跨越式发展的竞争态势分析

农产品加工业的较快发展,已成为我国农村经济和国民经济中极具潜力的新的增长点,成为我国由农业大国走向农业强国的突破口。但目前中国农产品加工业不仅落后与国外发达国家的发展水平,而且滞后于产业自身的发展水平。本文从农产品加工业自身的优势和劣势,面临的外部机遇和挑战方面,分析了中国农产品加工业跨越式发展的紧迫性和可行性,指出跨越式发展是中国农产品加工业的必由之路。     

Drivers and barriers of mobile payment adoption: Malaysian merchants' perspective

The Malaysian market consists of a large consumer-base carrying mobile phones. However, the adoption and proliferation of mobile (m-) payments remain dismal. Evidence from the literature necessitates the need for elucidating the adoption barriers and drivers from multiple perspectives. There has been much research on consumer adoption and usage of mobile payment systems, but there is a lack of research on this subject from the merchants' perspective. Taking into account the critical role merchants play in promoting a sustainable m-payment ecosystem, this work elucidates the perspective of merchants in Malaysia vis-à-vis m-payment systems. In-depth interviews with merchants from multiple retail categories were conducted to gain insight into their motivational drives, barriers, and challenges in the context of the adoption and implementation of m-payment systems in Malaysia. The results confirmed that the relative advantage of decreasing payment processing time and fees, convenience, and enhanced payment security features are some of the factors motivating merchants to adopt m-payment, while technological incompatibility, complexity, the cost of investment, and the lack of critical mass and knowledge are some of the factors discouraging merchants from doing so. Our findings further expand the limited knowledge of m-payment systems in the context of Malaysian merchants, which is valuable for industries and policymakers. The results of this study can be generalised to other m-payment systems in other countries - Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Android Pay, with Apple Pay, Alipay, and WeChat.     

Putting American Pragmatism to Work in the Classroom

The pragmatic inquiry process used in the Corporantes Pathfinder Notebook (CPN) enables students and others to discern their gifts, find purpose and direction in their lives, and seek a FIT between their values and various corporate cultures before making extensive commitments in their field of studies and their employment. Based on Peirce's theory of Pragmatism the CPN fosters investigation, interpretation, and action resulting from reflected narratives written in response to a series of questions in the CPN. The CPN was used successfully as a framework in a Business Ethics course for connecting career decisions to their personal lives. Other pedagogic activities were used such as case studies, role playing, service learning, team projects investigating ethical climates of corporations, as well as Socratic questioning and discussions of moral dilemmas to develop ethical sensitivity and understanding of ethical challenges and decisions. The CPN also has been used successfully by senior executives in over fifty applications.

结合WTO相关协议和中外建筑业情况，分析中国建筑业面临的机遇与挑战，提出我国建筑业“入世”应采取的种种策略，从而与世界建筑市场接轨。     

金融全球化与金融监管:动因、挑战与问题——基于新兴市场经济国家的分析

金融全球化的动因是放松管制和技术进步，引起了金融机构和市场结构的巨大变化。新兴市场经济国家因此面临许多新的金融监管问题：新的监管需求，传统监管方法的局限性．处理金融竞争方法的调整，消费者保护，监管成本的控制，监管协调等。新兴市场经济国家需要进一步面对跨国金融活动、国际金融标准和监管执行力的挑战。     

Use of mental models and cognitive maps to understand students’ learning challenges

Mental models and cognitive maps have been used in college business education as an instructional design technique, assessment tool, and learning strategy. The authors propose a novel use of mental models and cognitive maps as a device to elicit students’ challenges in learning the domain knowledge of a course. Such usage is illustrated in a management information systems course. This student-focused approach can help instructor to better understand students’ learning challenges and enhance teaching effectiveness.
