Research in mass customization suggests that consumers are willing to pay more for customization, but limited studies to date have investigated product or process related factors that would affect consumers' willingness to pay for a customized product. In a foodservice context, we empirically tested the impact of choice variety and specification assistance on consumers' willingness to pay for the customized product. The study results indicate that consumers would pay more for the customized product if extensive choice variety was provided for each product component. However, specification assistance was not found to affect consumers' willingness to pay. 相似文献

This study demonstrates the effects of framing safety precautions on the presentation of a controversial product (recycled water [RW]) to the inhabitants of two Greek towns by asking them whether they would visit various configurations of a public park irrigated with RW. The same questions are posed in an additional version augmented with a safety alert. Among many others, results mainly show that willingness to visit (WTV) a park irrigated with RW or willingness to pay for RW decrease when respondents are confronted with the safety statement that ‘the irrigated parts are isolated and have been properly marked for the visitor so that he/she does not come into touch with RW’. Moreover, WTV does not decrease when there is previous experience with the park. The upgrade of RW from secondary to tertiary treatment is valuated only when safety alerts are present. The paper yields promotion insights useful for relevant utilities, organizations, and governments which are interested in forming a social marketing mix for this product while contributing to the theoretical and empirical understanding of framing effects with their experimental demonstration in the two case studies. 相似文献

Although voluntary carbon offsets have played a key role in the response to addressing climate change in the aviation sector, little is known about consumer preferences for such offsets and their offsetting behaviour in Australia. This paper developed and applied a choice modelling study to measure the economic values of aviation carbon mitigation and to identify major factors influencing air travellers’ voluntary climate action. Results show that respondents have a mean willingness to pay (WTP) of AU$21.38 per tonne of CO2 reduced in the form of voluntary carbon offsets per person. Female travellers might have a higher economic value of carbon mitigation than male counterparts while climate sceptics who are less likely to be carbon offsetters might in fact hold a higher WTP value than non-sceptical travellers. The findings suggest that in terms of WTP the best profile of offset projects might be renewable energy projects in developing countries, of which resulting carbon credits can reduce company legal liabilities. Positive support was found for mitigation measures by airlines, with technological efficiencies more strongly supported than operational practices and biofuels. We analyzed the determinants of acceptance of genetically modified food (GMF) by using the probit model. In this study, we found that around 41% of the students are willing to buy GMF, and acceptance of GMF is less in female respondents than male respondents. The findings indicate that in India, benefit perception of GMF outweighed the risk perception. We also found that respondents’ trust in international organizations for truthful information has a positive and significant influence on acceptance of GMF. 相似文献

合理有序的人才流动,能够推动资源的优化配置、推动生产力发展。目前国内外关于科技人才流动的研究主要集中在企业人才流动和跨国人才流动研究。高校是国家科技创新体系的重要组成部分。本研究基于对19所985高校理工科R&D科研人员的调查,采用计量分析手段对高校科技人才流动意愿现况和相关因素进行了分析。受访者希望所在高校能通过人员流动产生新想法,但是具体到个人行为上,又因为现有的工作为生活稳定性而不愿流动;年龄因素、住房因素、科研团队因素、家庭生活因素、个人生活需求是影响高校科技人才流动意愿的显著性因素。 相似文献

无工作劳动力在无工作期间的生活保障既包括来自家庭外部的社会保险及政府救济等,也包括来自家庭内部的储蓄及资产收入等。由于信息不对称及道德风险的存在,外部保障可能引发“福利依赖”效应而降低无工作劳动力的就业意愿,也可能通过补贴工作搜寻成本而提高其就业意愿;而内部保障则会对无工作劳动力产生直接的就业压力,进而提高其就业意愿,且其失业对家庭生活的影响越大,这种就业意愿促进效应越强。采用“中国劳动力动态调查”2012年、2014年和2016年数据的分析表明:内部保障会显著提升城镇户籍的、家庭常规消费水平较低的无工作劳动力的就业意愿,但对农村户籍的、家庭常规消费水平较高的无工作劳动力的就业意愿没有显著影响;外部保障会显著降低各类无工作劳动力的就业意愿,而且会显著提高其家庭旅游消费支出(内部保障的影响不显著)。此外,相对城镇户籍的、东部地区的无工作劳动力,农村户籍的、中西部地区的无工作劳动力就业意愿更低。因此,在为无工作者提供必要的生活保障以维护社会稳定的同时,一方面要积极推进经济高质量发展,为欠发达地区农村户籍劳动力提供更多的就业机会;另一方面也要进一步营造劳动光荣的社会风尚,积极探索外部保障的就业激励机制和途径,提高无工作劳动力的就业意愿,以更好地促进就业和保障民生。 相似文献
