An assembly line is a production line in which units move continuously through a sequence of stations. The assembly line balancing problem is defined as the allocation of tasks to an ordered sequence of stations subject to precedence constraints with the objective of optimizing a performance measure. In this paper, we propose ant colony algorithms to solve the single-model U-type assembly line balancing problem. We conduct an extensive experimental study in which the performance of the proposed algorithm is compared against best known algorithms reported in the literature. The results indicate that the proposed algorithms display very competitive performance against them.  相似文献

We propose a sequential heuristic approach to optimize inventory service levels in a two-stage supply chain. The proposed approach deals with service level and inventory decisions, simultaneously with network design decisions, and incorporating unfulfilled demand costs in a previous inventory-location model. A two-step formulation is considered, where the first step optimizes service level and the second step addresses location and inventory decisions. Each algorithm iteration solves an inventory-location model for a fixed service level, and then the service level is updated in order to reach an equilibrium condition between operating system and unfulfilled demand costs. The algorithm converged in three iterations for a set of sample instances, obtaining the same outcome in comparison with a more intuitive, exact, but more time-consuming search procedure.  相似文献

“3S”技术,即遥感(RS)、全球定位系统(GPS)、地理信息系统(GIS),可以应用到电力线路勘测设计。利用RS技术、GPS技术进行数据采集,建立GIS数塘库,在此基础上建立电力线路信息应用平台,进行电力线路工程的勘测和设计,主要包括:优化电力线路路径、进行杆塔位设计及电力线路工程杆塔位的预排杆,利用“3S”技术可达到缩短电力线路工程的勘测设计工期、减少电力线路工程投资的目的。  相似文献

本文从旅游发展区域差异产生的背景入手,通过自然条件、经济发展水平、产业结构以及国家优惠政策4个方面对区域旅游发展差异进行客观的原因分析,结果发现,这四方面并不是这种差异产生的根源,进而运用新制度经济学的相关理论付旅游发展的区域差异进行分析,并指出旅游发展产生区城差异的根源是制度因素差异,在此基础上,提出缩小区域旅游发展差距的关健是制定出切实高效的旅游业制度体系,同时,指出制度因素的制定不是数童的多少问题,关健是重在制度因素的质量和性质.  相似文献

This paper presents a particle swarm optimization approach for inventory classification problems where inventory items are classified based on a specific objective or multiple objectives, such as minimizing costs, maximizing inventory turnover ratios, and maximizing inventory correlation. In addition, this approach determines the best number of inventory classes and how items should be categorized for the desired objectives at the same time. Experiments are employed to determine the best combination of algorithm parameter values. Extensive numerical studies are conducted and results are compared to other known classification methods. The performance of the algorithm on a practical case is also presented.  相似文献

This article presents an artificial intelligence-based solution to the problem of product line optimization. More specifically, we apply a new hybrid particle swarm optimization (PSO) approach to design an optimal industrial product line. PSO is a biologically-inspired optimization framework derived from natural intelligence that exploits simple analogues of collective behavior found in nature, such as bird flocking and fish schooling. All existing product line optimization algorithms in the literature have been so far applied to consumer markets and product attributes that range across some discrete values. Our hybrid PSO algorithm searches for an optimal product line in a large design space which consists of both discrete and continuous design variables. The incorporation of a mutation operator to the standard PSO algorithm significantly improves its performance and enables our mechanism to outperform the state of the art Genetic Algorithm in a simulated study with artificial datasets pertaining to industrial cranes. The proposed approach deals with the problem of handling variables that can take any value from a continuous range and utilizes design variables associated with both product attributes and value-added services. The application of the proposed artificial intelligence framework yields important implications for strategic customer relationship and production management in business-to-business markets.  相似文献

One of the primary concerns in measuring the relative efficiency of a telecommunication unit compared with other similar units is the uncertainty on input/output data. In this paper, a bootstrapped robust data envelopment analysis (BRDEA) model is proposed to measure the efficiency of telecommunication companies. The proposed method is capable of handling different issues such as the uncertainty in data or sampling errors. The model is examined using some real data from a telecommunication company. First, the data from 24 telecommunication companies are assumed with uncertainty and the efficiency of telecommunication companies are estimated using a robust DEA model. Then, the results of the efficiencies are corrected by a bootstrapping technique. The results indicate that the BRDEA method considers the perturbation in data and sampling error with an adaptation of bootstrapped robust data envelopment analysis and could be more reliable for efficiency estimating strategies.  相似文献

Managing worldwide supply pipeline operations concerns coordination and control of every step of the chain process starting from raw material sourcing, production, finally to distribution of market-specific items in retail places, all the way from product value inception and engineering, through manufacturing design, to the worldwide logistic planning. From systems perspectives, their relationships and interactions determine the overall performance. Coordinating such systems is very human-inclusive, characterised by abstract, ill-structured information interchange among well-partitioned expert groups. In this paper we documented the experience and implications of managing and modelling product development activities from a contingent perspective of interdependence. In our investigations amongst six international fashion corporations, crucial activity tasks in different countries were analyzed and evaluated within the context of launching schedule-driven fashion products. At the outset, we present the problem context, the issues arising from coordinating product development systems, and the approach we use to deal with the issues, i.e. modelling and manipulating the process interaction. We put forth a dependency-based process performance simulation, the related approach of data capture and the attribute constructs to represent the interactivity relationship. Finally, we discuss the computation process and evaluation strategy, which is indeed inspired by today's simulation-based optimization concepts. An effective GA heuristics is duly implemented.  相似文献
