Mobile phone network data reveal nationwide economic value of coastal tourism under climate change

The technology-driven application of big data is expected to assist policymaking towards sustainable development; however, the relevant literature has not addressed human welfare under climate change, which limits the understanding of climate change impacts on human societies. We present the first application of unique mobile phone network data to evaluate the current nation-wide human welfare of coastal tourism at Japanese beaches and project the value change using the four climate change scenarios. The results show that the projected national economic value loss rates are more significant than the projected national physical beach loss rates. Our findings demonstrate regional differences in recreational values: most southern beaches with larger current values would disappear, while the current small values of the northern beaches would remain. These changes imply that the ranks of the beaches, based on economic values, would enable policymakers to discuss management priorities under climate change.     

The High‐Rise Home: Verticality as Practice in London

This article investigates the relationship between verticality and home. It develops the idea of ‘verticality as practice'. This appreciates verticality not as something that takes place in three‐dimensional landscapes, but as the outcome of everyday practical activity. Examining a modernist high‐rise estate, the Aylesbury Estate in London, the article identifies and examines a range of vertical practices, illustrating how they are intertwined with home. Vertical practices, such as those associated with the view, help to make a unique and special home, becoming intensely meaningful to residents. However, they also unmake dimensions of home when they interact with the estate's marginality.

物流成本是物流活动中所消耗的物化劳动和活劳动的货币表现,作为商品价值的重要组成部分,其上升必然推高商品价格,成为商品价格上涨的重要推手。它的上升主要会通过运输费用、经管费用、税费和制度性成本等路径推动商品价格上涨。要保持市场价格的基本稳定,必须通过改革公路收费、改进物流管理、培育物流企业、优化物流模式等措施,多管齐下遏制物流成本上升。     

WAGE‐RISE CONTRACT AND QUANTITY COMPETITION WITH PROFIT‐MAXIMIZING AND LABOUR‐MANAGED FIRMS

This paper examines the behaviours of a profit‐maximizing firm and a labour‐managed profit‐per‐worker‐maximizing firm in a two‐stage quantity‐setting model with a wage‐rise contract as a strategic commitment. The paper then shows that there exists a unique equilibrium that coincides with the Stackelberg solution where the profit‐maximizing firm is the leader and the labour‐managed firm is the follower.     

磁流体密封摩擦温升的研究

在分析牛顿液体内摩擦定律的运动速度分布规律基础上，推导出计算磁流体运动中摩擦功率损失的公式；并根据热力学理论绘出温度分布曲线，依据曲线推导出热流量的计算公式。在绝热条件下两公式计算结果应是一致的。事实上也均与实验结果相差甚小，公式可做为选型设计时使用。

文章回顾了中部崛起战略提出以来中部省份取得的发展成绩,也指出其依然未摆脱东部地区粗放型增长的老路,未能充分发挥比较优势,实现真正意义上的全面协调持续的发展,并针对性地提出了中部崛起战略中应该重点关注三大突破方向:立足国内市场,加快发展内循环经济,转变经济发展方向;建设资源节约型和环境友好型社会,大力发展低碳经济,转变经济发展方式;营造良好的区域发展文化,平和社会发展心态,转变传统社会价值观念。     

经济全球化、反经济全球化与中国经济发展

经济全球化与反经济全球化是两种性质不同的全球化运动。我们在论证经济全球化对中国经济社会发展的影响和作用后,试图从具有中国特色的国情出发,努力探讨出一些能说明反全球化在中国没有市场的原因。研究结论表明,中国需要经济全球化和反经济全球化两种声音,以便于对经济全球化有一个更清醒地认识,为政府制定完善的决策提供更广泛的意见。恐惧或抗拒经济全球化是没有出路的,正确的选择是主动参与经济全球化进程,积极融入经济全球化潮流,在加快发展中改善或转变自身的边缘地位,努力扩大中国在对外政策领域的制度话语权和政治影响力。     

保卫民族产业与内向型经济:中国崛起的唯一选择

历史经验说明,保护主义和内向型经济是发展中大国经济崛起的必由之路。英国通过保护主义造就了产业革命的辉煌,美国通过典型的内向型经济实现了对英国的赶超。那种把保护主义看作是落后的代名词,认为保护主义无法解决技术进步问题并导致企业不能承受国际竞争的看法与历史经验大相径庭。我国以自由贸易、加入全球产业价值链和依赖外国直接投资为核心的出口导向型经济发展模式是目前我国经济陷入诸多经济困境的主要根源,这使我们不得不重新认识保护主义和内向型经济发展战略的基本经济学原理。为了从目前的经济困局中突围出来,并重新开启中国经济崛起之路,提出了保卫民族产业,实现中国经济崛起的十大战略方针。
