This study examines the management of innovation networks which has enjoyed increased recognition in the marketing literature due to its growing prominence and relevance. By testing a causal model relating network factors to outcomes, the study contributes to theory development on managing innovation at the net level of analysis. Consequently, it contributes to the respective marketing literatures on new product development, open innovation, industrial marketing and its emerging network management sub-stream. It also offers a methodological contribution as respondents include key players from businesses, government agencies, research organizations and universities rather than from only one focal organization as studies in extant literature have predominantly done. Findings are based on 219 responses from Australian high technology networks, namely, information and communications technology and biotechnology/nanotechnology. The study offers valuable implications for marketing managers involved in new product development and innovation concerning strategies for managing their inter-organizational innovation initiatives effectively. 相似文献

Using two unique datasets from different neighborhoods in Houston, TX, which provide us data for houses with similar structure (or even same house), we test the standard model of housing values to determine how the formation of households’ expectations regarding price appreciations affects housing market prices. Using these datasets we are able to address previously encountered problems in the literature such as the lack of adjustment for quality differences, the connection between prices and rents for the different type of housing, and the spatial distribution of housing. We test whether consumer behavior leads to potentially unstable market conditions with price bubbles. Our results suggest that appreciation expectations are based on past price appreciation but at the same time they depend on the fundamental factors such as, locational and structural. These findings show a hybrid consumer behavior of rational and adaptive expectations. Finally, we show how these expectations could sometimes lead to unstable price levels. 相似文献

By integrating and streamlining financial information within and among various organisations, eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) has been developed with a view to enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of corporate accounting information. Taking an inter-organisational focus, this paper investigates the process of how XBRL was institutionalised. It explains and offers insights on how institutional arrangements emerge and become relevant as heterogeneous organisations consider adopting accounting innovations while evidence concerning their benefits is unavailable. The original and overall contribution of this study is that it improves current understanding of coal-face actors' perceptions, behaviours, and strategies as they interact in the organisational field and become engaged in developing accounting innovations to produce the macro-level observations documented in existing institutional theory studies. 相似文献

I explore the effect of banking concentration and banking competition on the volatility of the growth of value added of manufacturing sectors in the developing countries. In this paper, I bring together two strands of literature, one that discusses the effect of financial intermediation on volatility of growth and another one that discusses the effect of banking concentration and competition on credit access. Following the industrial organization literature, I look at the effect of banking competition and banking concentration on the volatility of manufacturing sectors separately. I find that banking concentration has a dampening effect on the volatility of growth of the industries. On the other hand, I find that as banking competition increases, the volatility of the growth of industries increases, also. 相似文献
