This research examines intransigence in accounting systems. Using historical research methods and archival sources, it explores intransigence in the Royal Army Medical Corps’ accounting systems in the context of the incidence of shell shock among British Army soldiers fighting at the battlefront during the First World War. The Army did not recognise shell shock as a medical condition and made few changes to its medical accounting systems for soldiers with shell shock. The four factors of system stability of the AGIL scheme (adaptation, goal attainment, integration, latency) are used to understand the limited medical accounting response to shell shock. This research indicates that in addition to historical and internal political reasons for intransigence, intransigence will occur unless a factor in the AGIL scheme is sufficiently impaired to make the accounting system unstable and force system change. This research finding has contemporary relevance, explaining accounting intransigence in response to issues of social concern.  相似文献

Talcott Parsons was a great well-known sociologist whose approach was based on system theory. He identified social system into subsystems which were A (Adaptation functions), G (Goal gratification functions), I (Integration functions), and L (Latent pattern maintenance functions). His approach was based on the concern for the stability or maintenance of social system. The aim of this research is experimentally to identify the social system of north-east vocational education's macro administrative problems in Thailand by utilizing AGIL schema. The writer has adopted the symbiosis or maintenance of socials system stance by utilizing this approach. The results of the research were, firstly, the major macro vocational education eight problems (sentences) and 27 sub-problems (sentences) and secondly, the 15 diagrams of above-mentioned problems and sub-problems after utilizing AGIL concepts (In this paper, the writer illustrated seven of them). The study had been done using both secondary and primary data. The secondary data were collected from the written documents and from the internet concerning the vocational schools. In depth interview data were collected. Some respondents have been interviewed more than once. The total of 69 times in depth interview were collected. The researcher had utilized Japanese Kawakita Jiro Method of processing scattering paper clips from these primary and secondary data. In conclusion, the detail of main findings, system of sentences of the macro problems, some derived diagrams examples (After AGIL schema applying) and also implication from the main findings have been illustrated.  相似文献

以帕森斯AGIL模型和SWOT分析方法为理论基础,以实地考察数据为样本,对重庆市万州区农民专合组织发展中存在的问题进行了分析,得出结论:万州区农民专合组织在获取外部资源推广自己、创新组织模式方面发展较好,但在完善内部制度、吸收先进人才技术方面有待提高。对此,文章提出了相应的政策建议。  相似文献

本文将武汉城市圈中九个城市主体的关系放在帕森斯的AG-IL模型中进行分析,提出影响武汉城市圈"秩序整合"和协调发展的"四因素"。认为"政治因素"是影响武汉城市圈"秩序整合"和协调发展的"关键因素"和"建构因素",直接关系着其发展目标的实现方式和实现程度,"其它三因素"是"反建构因素",对"政治因素"形成"反建构性","反建构性"的方式也关系着整合实现的实际状况。然后分析"建构性"因素与"反建构性"因素的相互作用,初步探索出一条适合武汉城市圈经济社会协调发展的路径。  相似文献
