Shanghai International Financial Center in the Process of Renminbi Internationalization: Lessons and Inspirations from Historical Perspective

An advanced financial market can supply the important platform for the currency internationalization, but there is no obvious evidence supporting the conclusion that the enhancement of currency internationalization will promote the local financial market. The history lesson offers inspirations that to construct Shanghai as a international financial center, it is important to match the process of Renminbi internationalization. And some detailed suggestions are put forward in the end.
