多元智能理论观照下的大学英语词汇教学

摘    要:词汇教学是大学英语教学的重要部分。教学工作者们提出了各种改进词汇教学的方法。美国哈佛大学的教育学教授霍华德·加德纳,多年来致力于人类认知能力发展的研究,提出了多元智能理论。近年来,多元智能理论逐渐在我国英语教学中得到运用。文章探讨多元智能理论在大学英语词汇教学中的具体运用,并提出改进大学英语词汇教学的方法。

Abstract:Vocabulary teaching is an important part of the college English teaching. Many educators put forward some methods of improving college English vocabulary teaching. Dr. Howard Gardner, Professor of Education at Harvard University in America, has for many years conducted research on the development of human cognitive capacities and established Multiple Intelligences theory. In recent years, Multiple Intelligences theory has been gradually applied in the practice of English teaching in China. This paper aims to discuss the application of Multiple Intelligence theory in English vocabulary teaching and give some suggestions on improving the vocabulary proficiency of college students.
