An Analysis on Japan's Energy Diplomacy

Japan′s Energy Diplomacy is a compositon of national resource strategy and diplomacy. It aimed at acquisition the energy resources steadily for a long term. Japan′s Energy Diplomacy develops in some resource countries, regional and global organizations. It pushes to establish the high-level strategic dialogue mechanism in the Middle East and Central Asia, proposes comprehensive cooperation with oil suppliers, participates in promoting the regional security, and attempts to stabilize and diversify the supply of energy resources. Actually, these activities promote cooperation among countries and maintain Japan′s interests, but in a long run, the paper concludes that it might bring both challenges and opportunities to the relation between China and Japan.
