A Comparative Study of English versions ofQinyuanChun Changshu

Mao Zedong＇s poems have a significant impact on Chinese literature. Many scholars focus on the translation of Mao Zedong＇s poems and have published some classic versions of translation, such as Professor Gu Zhengkun, Professor Xu Yuanchong, Professor Li Zhengshuan. Their translations are quite different in many ways, bubbling with distinct flavor, and it s meaningful to compare the different versions. This article tries to compare and contrast Mao Zedong s Qinyuanchun Changsha in the target language from the perspectives of modality, aesthetics and culture, in order for the readers to appreciate the importance of emotional loyalty, aesthetic feeling, and cultural context.
