The Tide of International Bank Merger & Acquisition and China' s Countermeasures

Facing up to the huge tide of international bank merger & acquisitions (M&A) raised by the western countries, it has become a focused problem that how china should quicken the financial system reform and improve the commercial banks' capacity of competition in order to prepare for the challenge form foreign banks since China's entere the WTO. This article tries to give some advice on the characters of the international bank M&A; the necessity of China's bank M&A; that we put forward some policies with the examples of two kinds of M&A.
