The Current Situation of Biotechnology Industry in China and Its Development Tactics

In this paper, Chinese current situation of biotechnology industry is briefly described. The advantages for developing biotechnology industry are analyzed, including big market, rich resource, accumulated culture tradition, possible priority of intellectual property, potential research team, preferential policies. Problems are also indicated as below: lack of skilled and powerful investor, innovator with wrong position, controversial intellectual property, immature technique, market needed to be regulated. Based on these analyses, some tactics for developing biotechnology industry are drawn.
