Failure Analysis and Prevention of Isolation Switches

Isolation switches which are used in conjunction with circuit breakers play an important role in the operation of substations, transmission and distribution lines. It is the high voltage equipment without interrupter device in the power grid used to achieve the reliableisolation between uncharged part and charged part in the high-voltage power transmission and distribution equipment and form a visible break point to ensure the safety of maintenance work. In order to get a deeper understanding of principles and applications of isolationswitches and make sure the system is operated with safety and reliability, experiences are accumulated and measures are explored through practices.
