Over the past 100 years,the Olympic Sailing Competition and the Olympic Sailing City have brought out the best in each other.In different countries,regions and cities,the sailing sport has left over its historic traces with different characteristics.After the Olympic Games,Qingdao had produced the new enthusiasm of publicizing the Olympic Games and popularizing the city and continued to hosted promotion activities and large exhibitions in Japan,South Korea,France,Germany,the USA and Hong Kong,which aimed to build up Qingdao’s image of "Sailing City." By keeping friendly communication relationships with the other countries and through participating in the sailing competitions,Qingdao made efforts to promote its own prestige to display a distinctive Qingdao to the world.As a result,more and more sailing lovers have joined this passionate and vigorous sport.
