城市与市民内在关系的呈现——以美国加州悠然城为例

本文基于人类学的田野调查，利用经验与表述的关系作为框架分析市民投票决定某私人农场能否进行商业发展的个案。地方作为一种抽象的情感结构一方面使得城市与市民的内在关系的建立得以可能，另一方面使得具体的个体具有连接起来的形式。文章最后指出城市与市民之间的关系不是给定的，而是在社会生活的经验得以表述的过程中出现的。

The Inner Relationship between City and Its People

Based on field researches, this paper studies a case in which people in a city in California vote to decide whether a private plantation can be turned into a commercial project. The relationship between experience and expression is used as the frame of analysis. The author argues that the inner relationship between a city and its inhabitants is established by a sense of locality. Such a relationship is not given, but rather developed through expressions of the experiences in community life.
