The Modularization of Banking Value Chain——Path of Professionalism

By analyzing the evolution of banking industry through 21st century,it is not difficult to find out that many banks are busy with the reform of value chain.The efforts include business process reengineering,IT outsourcing,re-deployment of offshore banking business,and so on.While banks in western countries are striding in path of professionalism,China is still confined to traditional operation.The paper describes the modularization of banking value chain,and discusses ways to construct specialized bank,core bank and comprehensive bank.
