Preliminary Exploration on Japan' s Nuclear Crisis and Its Impacts

The nuclear crisis in Japan has brought about serious consequences and far-reaching impacts. Based on the identified critical changes of governmental decisions, policies, and measures, this study discusses the potential impacts of the crisis with regard to nuclear power planning, energy policy, and interrelationship between nuclear power and climate change, which will be reflected in possibly more prudence in nuclear energy development, stress on balanced pondering on all factors in policy-making regarding energy and possible termination of the global revival of nuclear energy.
