| Abstract: | The purpose of this paper is to examine and improve some algorithms in urban land gradations. Methods of documentation and comparative analysis are employed. After careful review of current approaches applied in land value appraisal, the paper argued that land rank played a too significant role in determining land value. Based on some experience in land value investigation in Taiyuan City, the author proposed specific corrections, and argued that it is proper for land valuation in middle-size cities. |
