论新农村建设与推进城市化进程的有机统一

我国农村人口始终是一个庞大的数量，因而，在推进工业化、城市化、现代化进程的同时，实施新农村建设战略，是落实以人为本为核心内涵的科学发展观的题中应有之义，更为重要的是，从农业和农村与工业和城市的新型关系角度看，新农村建设能够为城市化夯实基础，更有利于加快城市化进程；新农村建设有利于实现城市和乡村、农民与市民之间物质生产力水平、经济社会体削、居民的文化水平和劳动者技能、居民生活方式和观念、居民政治素养等方面的对接，从而有利于降低实现城市化的成本。
