Through analyzing the respective advantages of gold and silver in the new era,the paper studies the important factors influencing in the prices of gold and silver,and the linear relationship between the gold and silver prices.And then,it draws the conclusions that: the oil price,the U.S.nominal effective exchange rate,long-term U.S.interest rate and the U.S.consumer price index,the dollar index and the world′s gold reserves would be have a major impact on gold and silver prices.Subsequently,through the comparative analysis of the gold and silver investment,it draws their respective better holding ways to provide the necessary basis for investment decision-makers.
