On Offering Mathematics in Vocational Colleges

With the further development of vocational education, there appear more controversies on whether the math course should be offered or not in vocational college. As a fundamental science, math plays a significant part in cultivating students＇ mental outlook as well as promoting their major studies. Thus, this paper points out that math should be kept in vocational colleges in light of the all -around education. Meanwhile, the contents, the teaching and assessment methods of the course should be innovated.
