The Yellow river delta has great development potential because of a large area of fields. rich oil and gas resources. abundant resources. plenty of sorts of biological resources. good infrastructures. superior regional investment and development environment. However. the shortage of fresh water resources, undeveloped railway and port and the irrational industrial structure. these greatly restrain the scale, speed and depth of resource development in the area. Therefore, from now on. attention should be paid to make rational use of the water resources of the Yellow River; strengthen and improve the construction of the railway and port; reinforce the establishment of the base of chemical industry; develop the pattern of agriculture - Dyke - pond ecological agriculture; realize the industrialization of the alluvion.
