| 摘 要： | 赢利性企业为什么要主动承担高于法律义务的环境责任，这种企业如何在现实中长期生存下去，构成了市场经济下企业公民的生存悖论。新古典经济学派和生态社会主义学派均对企业公民的环境责任提出质疑。针对企业公民履行环境责任的行为，文章从社会契约角度分析其正当性；从环境责任与企业竞争力的关系出发，分析其可能性。最后，文章从政策法规的激励和约束、信息披露和社会监督机制、自律机制三方面，提出促进我国企业公民履行环境责任的措施。
