Strategic Thought on Promoting Internationalized Operation of China's Banks under the New Circumstances

Economic and financial globalization is an important trend of modern times that greatly changes the world economic landscape and significantly influences the economic and financial development of China. With an analysis of the current internationalized operation of China?'s banking industry, we put forward some basic principles for implementing internationalized operation strategy for China?'s banking industry: e.g. to have a unified plan in building up a strategic platform for internationalized banking operation; actively set up internationalized business network with large commercial banks as the main body; lay stress on expanding the three strategic financial zones of Asia, Europe and USA; selectively promote the restructuring, mergers and joint business with foreign banking institutions by Chinese counterparts; use matured international financial products as a platform for China?'s banking industry to gradually launch products series suitable for internationalized operation; strengthen strategic cooperation to facilitate internationalized business through Chinese transnational corporations and establish a risk control system in line with international banking standards.
