A Probe into Women's Property Right of Marriage Potion in Song Dynasty

The property of marriage portion, is the property accompanied with women when they married, is attached importance by women themselves at large and ensured by national law as well. Song Dynasty is an important stage in Chinese history and women in that period has certain rights and law status. This paper analyzes women's property right of marriage potion through the law literature of Song Dynasty, probing into women's economic rights and status in Song Dynasty.
