企业数量、规模与经济增长——基于省级工业面板数据的研究

长期以来,企业数量与规模一直是产业经济学与管理学的研究内容。笔者利用中国31个省级区域工业企业的面板数据,探讨了企业数量、规模与区域经济增长的关系,发现企业数量的增长对区域产出有较大的推动作用,而且呈现时序递增趋势。研究还发现,不同经济发展水平区域企业数量对经济的影响存在差异,越是发达地区,企业数量对产出的弹性越强,即越是经济发达地区,越应当重视企业与产业的培育,而不是片面强调"做大做强"。本研究还为理解地方政府与国家产业主管部门在产业结构调整政策上的冲突提供了区域经济增长角度的解释。

The Number and Size of Enterprises and Economic Growth——A Study Based on the Provincial Industry Panel Data

For a long time,the number and size of enterprises have been the research content of industrial economics and management science at all times.Using the panel data of 31 provincial regional manufacturing enterprises in China,the authors discuss the relationship between the number and size of enterprises and regional economic growth and find the increase in enterprise contributes greatly to regional output and presents a trend of increase by degrees as time goes on.The research also finds the numbers of regional enterprises in different economic level have different effect on economy.In developed areas the number of enterprises has bigger elasticity on output.That is,developed regions should pay more attention to the cultivation of enterprises and industries instead of simply "bigger and stronger".This research also explains the contradiction in industry structure policy between local government and state industry management department from the perspective of regional economic growth.
