| 摘 要： | 英语词汇的内涵意义是相对于它的外延意义而言的,它和文化紧密相关,随着语言的发展而发展。内涵意义的主要特征是:附属性、易变性、不确定性和开放性。对于内涵意义的正确理解有助于英语词汇的掌握。

| Abstract: | The connotative meaning,compared with denotative meaning,is closely connected with the culture and has been changing as the language develops.It is characterized by attachedness,indefiniteness,changeability,and openness.The correct understanding of the connotative meaning will result in better mastery of English vocabulary. |
