Building New Socialist Countryside: Analysis based on Social Capital

Social capital, based on faith, mutual benefit criterion and relation net, is a positive factor to promote beneficial or positive development of society. It plays an indispensable role in building new socialist countryside. By going concerns, participating in network is helpful to achieve democratic management of new countryside, contained into social capital; showing faith to social capital can promote farmers cooperation and production development in new countryside; mutual benefit criterion can promote the level of unity and mutual assistance, as well as the rural civilization. And on the stage, the absence of social capital in the countryside is one of significant factors to restrict reform and development of China's countryside. The article will analyze current situations of China's countryside's social capital and discuss how to upgrade or advance the rural social capital.
