园林、园艺高职学生素质和英语学习现状调查研究

调查结果表明园林、园艺专业高职学生大部分为来自农村基层的非独生子女，独立生活能力较强；学习目的明确，专业兴趣较浓，目标要求较高。由于英语基础较差，他们虽然认识到学好英语的重要性，但学习兴趣较低、信心不足，自主学习和运用能力较差；对英语课程学习效果评价较差。建议针对学生素质和英语学习特点，改进教学方式，重点培养学生的学习兴趣，提高学习自信心以及自主学习和语言运用能力。

Investigation on Students＇ Quality and English Learning in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture of Higher Vocational Colleges

Questionnaire investigation show that, the students in landscape architecture and horhcutture major of higher vocational college are mostly not only children and come from countryside, they have the strong self - care ability, specific learning objective, strong professional interest, higher learning requirements. Although they realized the importance of learning English well, but the study interest is low, lack of confidence, autonomous learning and using English ability is bad, study effect evaluation of English course is poor. According to the students＇quality and English learning characteristic, it is suggested that English teacher should take new teaching mode to improve teaching effects. The teaching emphasis is mainly to improve the students＇ learning interest, to stimulate learning motivation and their confidence, and to train their ability of autonomous learning and using English.
