A Comparison of Research between Financial Intermediaries and Financial Market

It has already been fifty years since research on Financial Intermediaries began in 1956.In the period many excellent academic papers were published.However it seems that the influence on practice of the research of Financial Intermediaries is weak,meanwhile the theories of financial market,also the research lasted over fifties,are more popular.One reason is the different purpose of study.Another followed is that whether the theory is sufficient to instruct the practice or not.Why and how to make difference exist? We now would like to discuss these interesting things and it will help us getting to know the theories of financial intermediaries and the function of multiple financial institutions in economy.
