《关于支持福建省加快建设海峡西岸经济区的若干意见》和胡锦涛总书记、温家宝总理、贾庆林主席的福建之行,为海峡西岸经济区建设揭开新的篇章。作为海峡西岸重要中心城市——厦门市,在新形势下要结合自身优势,构建"四个基地",努力发挥重要中心城市的作用,进一步开拓对台经济交流新局面。

Develop Xiamen centre city＇s function and promote two strait economy exchange

As the issued of ＂Support the Economic Zone in Fujian Province to accelerate the construction of a number of observations ＂and visits to Fujian by Chinese leaders Hu Jintao,Wen Jiabao and Jia Qinglin,there is a bright prospect of building economic zone on the west side of the strait.This article takes Xiamen as an illustration,propose Xiamen should seize the opportunity and exert advantages under new position.Xiamen should establish ＂four functional areas＂,exerting function of central city and open up a new prospect of cross-strait economic exchanges.
