| Abstract: | This article reviews some of the significant changes that have influenced NATO in the last decade. In addition, changes on the horizon - in terms of membership and the implementation of NATO's new strategic doctrine - are investigated. NATO's future is also assessed in terms of the threat of terrorism, peacekeeping activities and defence burden sharing. |
